Bottle Logic Brewing (Fall/Winter 2017)

Might be in the minority, but the Red Eye I had this afternoon at the taproom was completely missing any hint of coffee. Could have been a mistake pour and accidentally got more DSN but I wasn’t willing to stand in line and clarify. I haven’t opened a bottle, but I’m going to be pretty disappointed if Red Eye lacks any hint of coffee. I asked a buddy that was trying both, and he told me that he thought he was poured two DSN as well.

 

Redeye had a tremendous amount of coffee taste to it. So u prob got Dsn.

 

The DSN I had on draft this week was fantastic, can't believe how many people slept on the sale. Even as someone who loves adjucts, it's actually insane to me how much people ignore beers that don't have extra shit in them. DSN doesn't sell out for 5 hours, but DSN with coffee (which is a side-grade, not an upgrade) sells out instantly. Oh well, I'll enjoy the fuck out of my 4 bottles.

 

Picked up Saturday. Tried the three types of DSN (base, Rye, and Bourbon) liked Rye better off the bat, but Bourbon tasted better as it warmed. REN is pretty damn good. Now, I can't wait to open a bottle of each, to see where they're at. Everything's been better pouring out of the bottle, so I'm really curious.

EDIT: Shout out to Lindsay. Last week we had an issue with the SO's DSN tickets. She fixed it straight away.

 

Last year DSN didn't sell out for about a week and the year before it was widely available. Considering the increase in allotment size I would say it probably has more to do with the volume that they produce but its not like we have bottle counts to go off.

 

Picked up my bottles on friday, a nice quiet day at BL. I preferred the Bourbon over the Rye DSN. But at the same time, didn't think the DSN variants were mind blowing. Enjoyed the little nuances.

 

As others have mentioned, it sounds like we mixed up your pours in the release madness. The coffee on draft REN is very pronounced, and from the bottle it's almost overwhelming (IMHO). Shoot me a DM and we'll sort out the details to get you some proper pours!

 

Stellar customer service right there. Also, the overwhelming espresso bean black coffee notes are why REN is my all time top coffee stout, hands down.

It's 6 per person Lindsay said. Although the teku trading game is the new thing it just might sell out..

 

I'd actually be surprised if they made it through the weekend. When I went to pick up mine, people were in line buying them by the case (6 in a case). 1,000 glasses, puts it at about 166 cases. Never know though!

 

Exactly... Went in on a quick "lunch break" and grabbed one. Everyone in front of me was grabbing them by the case of 6.

 

Yea, I was just there grabbing a case. Just knocked off a bit of holiday gift shopping in one fell swoop!

Wow, drawing the line at glassware releases. Sorry brah's. Guess I'll eat my words when NEstyle glassware is the biggest thing ever next year. Margin on the glasses is better than the beer lol #socalaf
