Yeah, but he had it at the cellar both pick up days. I guess we’ll find out in about 19 hours.

Yeah, 40 max were in line before open. We didn't actually start the 'line' until noon, and it was 5 people until almost 12:30.

BTW, I opened one just a few hours ago and I love it. Shared with a dozen friends in our local group.

Any idea if BA Vibes will be on tap some time? I’d just like the opportunity to try it. By the time I went for my bottle today, it was long gone.

I bet I will be at some point either in bottles or on tap

no idea on BA vibes, but the draft pour I had today of the base vibes was incredible. worth the trip alone right there.

Pretty decent line at the brewery already. I didn't do a real count because it's pretty disorganized, guessing 75-ish? You should probably get here soon if you want a bottle.

You had to get there by 11:35. No tickets yesterday so a lot of people stood in line for an hour and got nothing.

any rumors on BA Vibes being on draft anytime soon? With so few bottles release, I'd presume they still have more bottles/kegs.

I just wanted to say how great the BBT release was. First time going to Side Peoject made the 8 hour round trip drive from Chicago and back in the same day. Hit up Pappy’s for the best ribs I’ve ever had and as a result Missed BA Coffee Shop Vibes by 10 people but wasn’t even upset at all. The weather was beautiful! We grabbed out BBT bottles split a bottle of Derivation 8 between two of us. It was probably one of the best beers I’ve ever had. I was tempted to rinse the bottle out with water and drink the water it was that good. Grabbed some Fencerow bottles and a glass to go. Used Untappd and found BCBS Northwoods on tap 15 mins away which wasn’t even comparable after having Derivation but still a nice surprise. All in all the drive was totally worth it and I really hope that Side Project does those guaranteed release like that in the future as it brings peace of mind but I will be back there one day regardless! Thanks for the hospitality St. Louis!! Coming from a Cubs fan.

Sounds like we did the same exact thing, except the line was way too long for me at Pappy's lol. Ended up at Shaved Duck, which was great. Also was surprised Northwoods was sitting on tap at iTap

Despite what seemed like chaos for a little while, SP did an awesome job Saturday, especially Eric for crowd control and the bartenders for not losing their minds. I definitely had a good time once things calmed down. Maybe I'm crazy, but I was the only person in my group who preferred BBT to Derivation, anybody else agree?

initial reaction: BBT was not as good as maman & neither are as good as D7 as far as non-adjunct stouts go. D8 was sweet & decadent as all get out but enjoyed it a little more than BBT. I could have smelled D8 all day.

I liked BBT better than D8 but that’s like saying I like a Lamborghini more than a Ferrari. Both are totally awesome. I drank at the brewery bar and had full view of the chaos. Props to the staff, it was totally crazy but they maintained their cool and everyone seemed happy. I only saw 1 bottle break.

I preferred D8 to BBT by a hair, but I love coconut and coffee. The adjuncts were a bit muted for my tastes, but I still got all 3.

You aren't the only person I've heard say that haha. Despite the pull tabs it looked like quite a few bottles were being troublesome to open

I felt like BBT had a thicker body, could have been the temp of the beers. Flavors were awesome on D8 though, coffee smack to the face with a nice coconut aftertaste. I just enjoyed the non adjunctified experiance of the BBT to the D8 personally. Very well run release and the taco truck was fire!
