I know there's a big release at More this weekend and haven't seen anything about this on this site so I thought I'd spread the word. The beer last year was fantastic and I'm looking forward to getting it in a bottle:

Saturday: So this one requires a little explanation, last year we did a small batch of a Gose aged in a tequila barrel with copious amounts of lime zest. Everyone who came in that night finished the 10 gallon test batch in about 3 hours.. So as soon as we were able to get some bigger Tequila barrels, we had to make this again!

Tomorrow we'll be selling bottles of our Tequila Barrel Aged Lime Gose, El Chango Loco! We're limited to 200 bottles, so get here early, the fun starts at noon! Bottles will be $8, and we'll be selling the remaining Red-Ass Baboon bottles for $15 a piece. We hope to see you here!

It'll also be the first time we've had BLee's Smokin' Delicious BBQ out! They'll be preparing classic BBQ dishes, cooked low and slow right in our parking lot. Definitely not one to miss.

NEW BEER: We're always switching up our draft list as you all probably know by now, but this weekend we've got some old favorites and some new beers for your drinking pleasure. There's no set release times for these, as a few of them are dependent on other beers running out.

Fonkey Mucker - Our chocolate peanut-butter Russian imperial stout is back on!
Asmodeus - Our killer 12% Russian Imperial Stout went back on tap last night!
The Ellis Redding - Our Irish Red ale will be back on tap this weekend
El Chango Loco - We didn't just limit this to bottles, we kept a bit behind to put on tap for your drinking pleasure.

There may also be a special appearance of our 200th batch, Let Chaos Reign, an all new IPA with HUGE hop aroma!

Ok, I know this is a long post, but there's a lot of updates! Stop on by and let's have some fun!

I was hoping to edit the original post but it looks like there's some variants this year:

Stopped in there tonight for trivia and they were handing out samples of Maple Syrup and the Mexican Chocolate variant.

Maple Syrup is awesome, it'll be a good bottle to share. The maple is heavy up front but the base beer along with the barrel aging cuts into that keeping it from being overly sweet. As a big fan of Bean Spirit from Mikerphone this beer can hang hard with that.

The Mexican Chocolate is interesting. You get a lot of dark chocolate and cinnamon up front and it fades into the base barrel age Asmodeus.

I look forward to trying coffee but so far both variants you get exactly what is advertised on the bottle, both adjuncts are very up front and very bold.

Thursday 11/16 (tomorrow) they'll be taping their first maple beer using the base milk stout they had on draft a few months back:

    From their Facebook:

Harambe Lives! We're kegging up our newest beer, Short Stack for Harambe! We took our original Thick Stout for Harambe along with loads of maple syrup for a fantastic breakfast stout. We'll have it on tap this Thursday. Cheers!

No kidding, on top of all that I took a trip down to Memphis and took some goodies home from Wiseacre, Ghost River, Meddlesome and 4Hands. I might have burned through an entire paycheck.

Also from their Facebook a few days back here's some info on what's available. Last year they had about 2000 bottles of the base BBA Asmodeus and it sold out within a few days and they had a 2 bottle limit. Not sure what to expect this year but with no limits things could go pretty quick.

There are approximately 1,500 bottles of original Bourbon Barrel Aged Asmodeus, 450 of Maple, and 300 of Coffee & Mexican Chocolate.
    - $20 each - Cash Only - No Limits -
(2016 BBA bottles will also be available in very limited quantities, $25 each, Limit 2.)

The food truck will arrive at 11a, bottle sales will begin at 12p.

I'll be down tomorrow to try it on draft and possibly get bottles. I'm actually kind of hoping it sucks because I'm spending too much money on beer.

Unfortunately none of them suck! Given my relationship with them I could be a bit biased, but I'm also very picky on how I spend my money and these are very well done beers. The two brewers/owners have very high expectations of their product being huge beer fans themselves. Another $160 out the door for me on these getting two bottles of each.

They are great brews. Glad I grabbed an allotment. I may be a tad bias since I've known Jason for over 15 years now. But they're cranking out great stuff!

Might be able to make it out there tomorrow, is there any left? Was it crazy at open or whenever y'all were there? For comparison I had the Asmodeus they poured at beer under glass this summer, which they described as Mexican chocolate version, which I think was non-BBA, but was excellent.

Ironically, everything but Mexican chocolate is left. You may be able to get it on tap though.
