It’s from the general store, I think it is new merch more than cans....

Agreed - TS is wonderful. Too bad I've maxed out my beer budget for the year. Those stouts & bba beers sure do put a dent in the wallet.

I'm getting close and I'm still waiting for CBS to hit which I assume won't be pretty.

It's already dropped a few places in Philly (at $34 per). And if you want to see a true shitshow, take a look at Bella Vista's release plans...

SPOILER: They plan on releasing a bottle of that and BCBS once every hour hidden throughout the store and are explicitly not honoring lines. I've heard some terrible beer release ideas before but this one is by far the worst. Thinking of going just for the spectacle. The topper: in the announcement they used pics of BCBS Reserve instead of regular, even though they aren't releasing variants lol...

They're drinking too much of their product with an idea like that... I'll resort to drinking regular BCBS while eating pancakes with maple syrup. A cheaper, easier, and probably better tasting alternative :sunglasses:

Like most distributors the amount of bottles they have for sale will be less than a quarter of what they actually receive once they part the bottles to friends, family, and frequent customers. Ill meet you there with popcorn in hand!

technicolor the first 1-3 batches was sublime.. then it kind of went the way of things and became muddled and much like everything else

heard the last batch of Alien Church was tasty so maybe TC see's a return to glory this run... the silkiness from the spelt was what set this off and if they used their choicest select simcoe hops it could be a banger

does anybody else feel that with some of these beers... and it goes for other breweries too... that they kind of segregate whatever hops they receive in their hop contracts and pull out the creme de la creme in whatever intervals it be... be it a collab brew... be it a brand new "named" beer etc? Just curious what people think about how some of these places use their hops based on contracts and knowing they may have to make some of the select varietals last a full year till they get their next supply... if that's even how it works... who knows for sure but i figure once a "varietal" is harvested it is what it is ya know?

somebody report back if TC is firing on all cylinders... last year the December batch of alien church closest to Christmas was my favorite batch of Alien Church since before canning so i'm hoping they decide to use so for the A grade hops the next month on some of these releases.... also after the Instagram monkish passing the milkshake torch shit... will we see any more shakes? Seemed to be that we wouldn't but who knows.

Both Alien Church from last week and the 11/21 batch of Hophands were delicious.

AC was above par last week. Been underwhelmed by past batches of TC so won't be trying this one. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that we'll have TC available to go for the rest of the week.

I saw that, and I just had to laugh. They're just going to have people following the staff's every move all around the store for the entire day. It'll be shocking if a hipster slapfight and broken CBS bottles don't result from this horrendous plan.

Could simply be a function of fresher hops in late fall making better beer. Fresher NZ hops making better beer in late spring. These beers are made with stupid amounts of late and dry hops, it stands to reason that hop freshness would play an outsize role in how the final product turns out.

What is TC? You mean Technicolor Splendor?

Only 260 allotments with case limit. I'm sure it will last into the night but I don't like these case limits.

With only 260 total cases canned this week you have to wonder if there is something big coming for this weekend. Or if they decided to just ramp up their HopHands supply.

Whoops -- yes, meant TS. And ah, I made that estimation based on the usual supply... I could still see this lasting into Friday or so, we'll see.

Only 25 to 30 cases left.
