It has been! and yes, this beer is fantastic ... wish it wasn't so expensive because this beer is just sublime.

And no one wanted to question you because no one is here to judge you. Beer Advocacy is being willing to slap that "like" on a buddy's post without expecting anything in return. Why, because they truly like your post.

The selfless act of saying "hey, dude, that's a great post" is a fabulous way to say thanks and sometimes that's all that's necessary.

Me, I try not to overthink too much anymore. Life is always changing and I see things changing in beer, but the people who care about it the most will always be the ones who continue to create a fabulous beer community.

To me, that's what it's all about.

The wife has early morning clients, so she went to bed. I have time for one more beer and some Mind Hunter as the fire smolders.

Put the tree up tonight. Doesn't feel like Christmas with these great mid-70's temp days. Could hit 80's this weekend in Houston.
Great local-ish citrus IPA: Mama Tried from Brazos Valley brewery
Hope IU bball can keep it close and anything can happen at the end!

So here we have an interesting beer from Braxton Brewing out of Covington, KY. The base beer is Dead Blow, their export/tropical stout brewed with dates. This version features Braxton's own Starter coffee. The base beer is quite good and its slight sweetness (dates) plays nicely with the coffee roast.

I hope, crossing fingers. Honestly, I haven't been watching as much as I would have wanted to this season, kinda given to where I live, they seem to want to play the Giants and Pats mostly. So, eh, well, but I did get to watch that pounding of dallas the day before my birthday and that was damn nice, lol, haha, I love it when dallas loses, I can't stand that team.

Eagles seem to have all of the mojo in Philly right now because I was back in PA visiting my parents last week for Thanksgiving and watched the Flyers lose every game - boy, do they stink this year, but I still won't become a Bruins, Canadians or Rangers fan given to where I currently live.

I wear my Flyers stuff faithfully around here and my excuse is John LeClair! Haha!

Living in Chicago I have to get creative to watch the games but I've been able to watch all but one so far. Flyers are brutal ... this stretch has been completely awful - Im completely on the Fire Hakstol train at this point. But hey at least the Sixers are good and baseball is far off in the distance still ...

Just finished my first ever of this beer.

I know there's a lot of hate over the overall ownership of this beer. I understand it. I appreciate it.

In this case - I don't care! BCBS is a world class stout. It holds an special place in my heart - I shared my bottle of the regular 2016 in February, with friends, the night before my dad died, as a tribute to him. BCBCS kicks it up a notch. I will gladly travel the 45 miles to Maple Grove to find this again - Regular - and variants - next year on Black Friday, since we don't get any BCBS in St. Cloud.

    2017 Vintage.

This beer is a very thick pouring beer. Pitch black. Minimal head, but what was there was a dark tan color.
The nose is rich with the aroma from the barrel. The barrel aroma is mixed with a touch of coffee.
Taste - The coffee is more up front, then the barrel heat kicks in, but it isn't a harsh taste, it is a smoother flavor.
Feel is quite thick and full bodied.
A delicious beer, and I'm glad I've finally gotten to try it. It is a world class stout, and the addition of coffee, just adds a new layer to this world class beer.
