I'd hit up Ruben's Brews as well. Haven't had anything from them I didn't enjoy

 

So, I won't really comment on the "Prop is for Chicago thing." Everyone has their opinions, and that's fine. Nothing wrong with that.

Only thing I will say is that all those props on the trade board(s) aren't coming from only out of towners. Before I'd ever buy into "Prop day for Chicago only" or Prop being released in some way to benefit Chicago only, I'd have to see people stop trading it.

I definitely "get" why people buy multiples just to trade, but it's at least as infuriating to me that people do this (artificially increasing demand above what it would be if you had to drink everything you bought) as it is that I benefit from being able to trade with others to try new beer I don't have access to.

 

Yeah that place is great. Really great staff.

I also highly recommend Puerto Rican food and liquors, a half mile north on Augusta/Rockwell. The owner is one of the single nicest bottle shop owners I’ve met. Prices are fair across the board, and he treats everyone with respect but still takes care of his customers with freebies/tastings heads up here and there.

Perhaps, but people in the Pacific Northwest like to almost boast about how much they don't care about Bourbon County. Also expect Fremont to be brought up.

 

Nothing about the beer scene in 2017 has shaken me more than the idea of Pub II pouring anything besides adjunct lagers and regrets.

 

You're supposed to add more coffee yourself every year. I hope you let your trade partners know this before you outright fleece em.

Also, did you mean to say "defiantly" or is that just a really apropos misspelling?

To be fair ISU actually has some fairly craft focused bars......Pub II is not one of them but they Bud sales must have erned them a keg.

 

Anyone know if Whole Food DePaul received any variants last year?

 

IIRC, all WFs had variants last year....some more than others.

 

Is there anything left in the west loop?

 

Not sure if it's still there, but I picked up a few regular at the Broadway/Addison Jewel on Tuesday evening for $10 each. There were probably about 8 cases left.

 

So I popped into the marianos in the west loop just now and they had 3 cases of reg. 11 dollars each.

Hope all is well! Three annoying questions that probly have already been answered. Answer any as all three might be hard.

1. Any Northwoods bottle sitings in Chicagoland still?

2. Is WF Lincoln Park the place to go tomorrow? If so - what time do you need to line up by? Prop are reserve expected?

3. Do Deerfield WF expect any allotment?
