I got cut after BAGJG. Not mad about it, though, because I'm no longer in the area and don't want the hassle of having to arrange for proxy pick-ups and shipping.

sent a neighborhood to a trading partner and he kept it in his fridge for a week. upon opening, he said it gushed everywhere.

just a heads up if anyone is planning on opening one.. this is like the 4th beer out of the last 5 ive bought that has gushed. bummer.

You've all been changed from Beer Friends to Beer acquaintances or Beer "Yeah, I think I know that guy". Maybe you guys should work on that.

    Nah, just messing. Emails out.

    Hey There,

First off, sorry you've had gushers. If you ever have issues with our beers we will gladly replace those beers or make sure you're taken care of. Just send us an email with details to [email protected].

Also, to say a little something to the issue of gushers... though we do everything we can to avoid this issue it is inherent in our pursuit of highly carbonated, unfiltered, mixed culture beers. As with any highly carbonated beverage we recommend having the beer at cold, stable temperatures and always having a glass ready to pour into.

    Cheers, Bob

Is anybody more excited about Someday (especially it being in 750s), or is that just me?

Has this beer been previewed? I feel like I may have tasted it at some point but don't remember at all

Had it just the one time. My comments were "Tart, citrusy saison" and I scored it a 4.25. Tart, citrusy saisons are one of my favorite styles so take that for what it's worth.

thanks bob. I know I can email you guys but I do not because its not something I lose sleep over. After my table gets it fair share, the rest of the beer is delicious and I enjoy it. In this case though I just feel bad I sent it to my trading partner and hadnt opened one of my own first to know to properly warn him.

Maxed out on lazier but passed on someday. Reviews are mixed on that beer so I'd rather try it on draft first before I decide to grab a bottle later (which I'm sure will be available at the herm)

Think you're getting to comfortable with bottles sitting at the Herm on past release. This is a 750ml with 385 total bottles at $16. That is an incredibly good deal and not to homer too much, but I would imagine that would make it ripe for selling out. .

If it sells out it sells out. Didn't want to tl;dr my post but hopefully I'll try it on draft if it's available and I guess I'll either regret it or not if it comes down to it. I do understand the cost value but that doesn't necessarily mean that it makes it a great beer just because it's in a 750ml format at $16.

No where did I state or mention it's quality. I dunno, considering the other sort of beers I buy blindly and HPB's track record in terms of quality beer, I can easily plop down money on a beer I may not have tried before by them. You have your reservations, which is fine. You do you.

You didn't mention quality but you say it as if any beer at cost plus size must equal value. So therefore this beer, which I haven't had must be an incredible deal to not pass up on. Yes I'd say 90% I buy blindly into hpb beers with not a single thought but with some reservations I have factored into it, this is one of the times I'm passing on it unfortunately.

See, now you're just arguing for the sake of arguing.

You're acting as if your own opinion is more important than others when I was simply pointing out the facts that the # of bottles, the change in format and the cost are all factors that could lead this one to not just sit at the Herm for your convenience.

My apology for trying to have a conversation.

Surprised that both are still available. Less than a year ago people were all butthurt about missing out on Lazy Susan.

Hold on for one flippin second! I follow the HPB thread feverishly, so I was pretty surprised that I hadn't read a mention of Huge Pappy, which HPB is taking to EBF. It sounds awesome, Imperial Stout with Cacao Nibs, Brown Sugar, and Cigars Aged in Pappy Barrels. Please tell me this also hits bottles or draft at the Herm!
