Surprised to see no thread about this...I had one last night and I was thoroughly impressed. Best Victory IPA I've had in ages.

Want to try it, supposidly replaces Hop Ranch...which was very good.

Edit: It's not even on draft at any Victory locations. What's up with that??

I posted about it in the Southeastern PA thread, since I wasn't sure if this was a widespread release or not. Victory was pretty slim on the details. Not clear whether it's a one-off, a new seasonal, or new year round, etc.

Wheat, oats and pilsner malt - sounds too dry for me.
I'd try it if I saw it though.

Same dry hop as Hop Ranch then? Basically Hop Ranch+ wheat.

I got a single bottle at a shop in Manhattan on Tuesday and I got a 6-pack on Long Island yesterday.

No your wrong. It's been at all brewpubs since last Friday. Here's my recent quote in the Southeastern PA thread from my sampling of the beer on Monday (11/27/17):

"Had it on draft at the D'town brewpub. It tastes like a "want-to-be" Hop Ranch. The version I had was unfiltered and was listed at 8.3% abv for a DIPA. While I was there, I tried to confirm it's status (i.e. seasonal, special or replacement), but no knew the answer. It was tasty....very citric with a pleasant finish or very quaffable."

    From the Victory webpage:

Seasonally available in 2017 in 12 oz. 6 packs in Victory Taprooms and throughout Victory's distribution.

It sure sounds like Mighty Things is very similar to what was Hop Ranch. Is there a reason why this new brand of Mighty Things is being produced vs. just producing Hop Ranch again as a winter seasonal release? Was Hop Ranch not selling well?

For some reason I am getting the impression of the marketing technique of "new and improved" Tide detergent.

    Cheers!

Pass......while I did complain that Victory did not innovate and had the same portfolio forever I have to say since they sold themselves I am more than disappointed. So many new beers and so many are not good. Their prices on new releases are quite high$. The core , and they are good but feel a bit off from pre sale is also too expensive$ for what they are but I think most local PA brewers are too high$ vs other states locals.

I would guess this is close to a $13-14 six if not more based on dirt wolf prices.

I will stick with shape of hops for $8.99-$9.99 for 16oz cans.

    Enjoy

I must try this. Dry/crisp with a killer hop bill?

Count me in. Haven't seen it in S. CT. yet though.

Rich, then tell Victory to get their act together and update their website pages. I looked at all 3 locations, no mention of it at all on the draft lists.

Edit:Guess they updated everything last night or this morning. It's listed now but wasn't yesterday.
