I was there around 7 and had to leave too- Ran back over at 7:50 to find the line gone and three empty cases sitting on a cart. Hah

Got to Naperville Binnys just before open, limit 1 there but plenty for everyone in line, and they said it would probably last another hour.


Someone asked how many cases they got and the guy said ‘I would literally lose my job if I told you that’.

 

Libertyville Mariano's got in 2 cases. They are down to about 6 as of 15 min ago

 

Just walked in and out of Binny's Arlington Hts with my bottle. Still had some left as of 10 minutes ago.

 

My local Kroger released at 8 a.m., not sure if every Kroger is getting it. There were about 20 people in line, looked like they only got a couple of cases. I imagine it sold out within 15 minutes. Seems more scarce than I initially thought it would be, but that's just speculation on my end. Anybody else in SE Michigan have some luck?

 

Is 'Bucktown Walgreens' the one next to Margie's, or are you guys talking about the one at Damen/North?

I'd imagine the flagship, but that's wicker park, and I live a minute walk from the bucktown one.

That's logan square. The Bucktown Walgreens is on the corners.

 

I feel for those folks. I probably saw you then. I'll have a pour at Warrens tonight after work, and i'll check back in the chance it might still be there about 11am.

 

The place I went this morning had a 2 bottle limit, then when I was walking out they had changed it to four. They also had 2016 KBS for sale.

 

The corners is wicker park. There is a walgreens in bucktown, that's why it's confusing.

 

Walgreens Bucktown sold out 10 minutes ago (I’m here). Binnys Lakeview was done to a few cases 15 mins ago

 

Massive thanks for the heads up on the Wicker Park Walgreens (Damen/North). They had a ton of it. Walked away extremely happy.

Binny's Lakeview still has a bunch - 1 bottle limit.

 

We probably should've given CBS its own Chicagoland thread.

 

Some people say Bucktown starts at North. Others say it starts at Bloomingdale. I personally think Bloomingdale, but thats a debate for another forum. Good rule of thumb is to always think 6 corners when you hear Walgreens and beer in this region

 

Proud of South Loop Binny's today! They double-checked their bottle count (not many), made a stack of tickets in the same amount, and handed 1 ticket to each person in line (limit 1 bottle per person). The rest they turned away (anyone who showed up after 7AM was shut out). Orderly, fair, and transparent. And we didn't have to wait an ungodly amount of time!

 

my local store got 10 cases in the small town i live in. $20/bottle. still had 8 cases left at 9am
