Went around 4 yesterday and it was a breeze. 4-5 people waiting to get a pour, filled up my growlers, enjoyed one out on the patio, took a stroll through the gift shop and picked up my two bottles all under 30 minutes. Maybe 5 people in line for bottles and the taproom was full, but pretty much no line at all. Much different than the KBS release.

    False, you mixed units.
There are shit tons or metric ass loads. There is a fucking lot of it in either measurement.

The one negative comment I have is if they made a metric shit ass load of CBS, why not just do 4 packs instead of 750s. I'm not complaining, I still like it more than 500 mL bottles.

I was starting to wonder the same thing about draft vs bottle. It’s appears that the ones who think it is watery were mainly draft experiences. Bottle tasters are tending to use more thick and sticky descriptions. Has anyone had both yet this year?

I had it on draft at Founders yesterday. It definitely thickened up as it got warmer (which is expected). Like another BA said, is it the thickest stout I've ever had? No, but it is definitely not thin.

Surprised Detroit tickets still available. What's the over/under on many days they up? I'll say 2.

I'm willing to bet that a lot of people who are underwhelmed by this batch would have a different opinion if this were a small batch release. In the minds of some, unfortunately, scarcity = quality and when a beer is mass produced it can't possibly be world class. I for one am thrilled that such a killer beer is so widely available.

Any tips on parking at Founders right now?

    Luck.

I eventually found street parking a few blocks away, and that was at 3PM on Friday. Can't imagine it would be any easier today.

Yeah. Took a few laps around the building but finally found one. Solid 25+ minute wait to get in the tap room for anyone coming down now.

Absolutely. Grabbing a "whale" is a lot of fun, but being able to get beers you love when you want them is 100x better. I'm super excited Founders stepped up with this release.

Yep the Rock, Zips in Davison and Sams Beer Beer in Flint, all $35 per bottle. Stopped going awhile ago but called just to ask what they were charging. $35 is the highest I've read about on this thread. Did get one at A&B in Davison, they're pretty good with prices. Crazy to hear how easy most people got this yet we struggle in Genesee County. Very thankful for my ticket for next weekend. Also picked up another ticket today for the Detroit release so I can hook up Colorado friends.

Also, has this yet to hit a majority of Oakland County? Seems like none of the major stores in northern Oakland county anyways have gotten it in yet?

I’m at the founders release and here’s my take:

-yes, it is better as it warms.
-whoever said it’s “like water” is trying to ramp down interest to get more for themselves probably. Plenty thicc here.
-I was not a huge fan of KBS this year but this is like what I remember it being in previous years, but better.
-seems a bit heavier on coffee from what I remember of the ‘14 batch, so this’ll probably only get better for the next year or so.

Also they have glassware, apparel, etc for CBS today.

Picked up my bottles at my local Kroger yesterday at 8 am, but it was gone in under an hour.

With BCS and CBS over the past week, dyslexic beer nerds must be going nuts.
