Willettized Coffee Stout 6 packs

    Lagunitas posted on Instagram yesterday that Willettized will be dropping this month, replacing High Westified in 6 pack bottle format. Let's post updates when we know more information or see it floating around the city! Can't wait to try this. RIP High West.

    I had it on Tap last night.............IMHO it is sadly no where near as good as High West:confused: I got 2 pours of it to be for sure, definitely a bummer as High West is an extremely underrated BA stout.

    Damn I hate hearing that. Love High West and was hoping this would rival it.

    I had it last year and thought it was far superior to HW. Wonder if they tweaked the batch for mass production? Or perhaps different strokes for different folks...

    Does anyone know if the Willetized beer came from the Willett barrels that held Willett's own distillate? I ask because Willett only started barreling their own distillate about four (maybe five) years ago. I'm no expert on barreling beer but I would rather have a beer aged in 7 to 10 year old barrels than a young 4 or 5..

    Form your own opinions for sure, I will definitely buy a 6 pack to give it another shot, but what I had on draft this past Friday evening I was really let down. I think high west is superior to KBS......

    No risk at that price point, I'll update as it starts to show at local Binny's. Hard to believe they would just let the series fall off a cliff.

    Not the fault of Lagunitas. Constellation Brands purchased the High West Distillery. Constellation also owns Ballast Point so the High West barrels went to Ballast Point for Victory at Sea.

    Constellation getting destroyed on that $1B purchase of Ballast Point. Hope it continues.

    For the price of a 6 pack its worth it for sure. When is it hitting Binny's? My kids live right by one in Chicago and will grab some for me.

    I'm all in on updates. I never found any High West so very interested in trying to find Willettized.

    Beer Temple has Willettized on draft and in bottles today, I assume it will hit limited distro this week.

    High Westified was the best deal in craft beer ever! An absolutey amazing BA stout in 6-packs for $15!!!

    While other brewers bottle mediocre BA Stouts in bombers for $20....

    Hope this Willitized batch is similar.

    ^^^^^Agreed that high west was one of the best deals ever......there are lots of crap BA stouts for way more. I cherish my High West collection and won't trade any of it. I'm Hoping this Willetize taste better out of the bottle. 2 of my buddies who's opinions I value were very disappointed with the draft pours they got of the willetized, which came from the same bar I got my pour at. CrossIng my fingers its the bar/bad keg. That being said I had 2 pours of 2017 BCBCS at 2 different locations on the release weekend and 1 tasted way better.
