I hear what you're saying and suppose I could agree with the analogy of waiting for a table. Except for the part where one has to abandon one's family early the day after a holiday to go stand in line for beer. I realize many people seem ok with this. I'm not.

The Black Friday release works nicely for me. Show up at liquor store 20 mins or so before opening. Grab a few regular and a few variants. Go to work. Stroke my Bourbon County box all the way home at the end of the day. Open. Enjoy.

That's great, glad it works for you.
Glad it works for you. Guess everything is optimal then.

Well crap. Don't know how I managed to screw that up. Carry on.

I am well loved. I don't have time on the day AFTER a holiday.

    Edit:sarcasm.

Thanksgiving Day: "We may not be able to afford the biggest of feasts today, but we should be thankful for what we do have. Happy to spend time with my family. #blessed"

Day after Thanksgiving: "Just woke up at 5:30 to spend $90 at three different stores for eight beers."

Plenty of cases of BCBS in Brighton/Allston: $14-$15/bottle. From corner stores to Blanchards, you'll have no problem finding it.

Made the mistake of drinking one last night. Too much , stupidly sweet this year. Good beer but I don't love the format

Meanwhile my friends in NC can't even get a single bottle of BCBS because supply is so limited there.

I've never equated going out for an hour or two to "abandoning my family," but whatever works for you.

I would like to get a few more bottles of regular bcbs. Anyone know of places in central mass that still have bottles?

Wachusett Wine and Spirits in West Boylston had some the other day. Don't know if that is central enough for you. Had CBS too but $30 a clip

Both Five Horse locations and Worden Hall are having Bourbon County events this week, starting tonight with Five Horse South End. Some pretty solid lineups, especially at Five Horses Davis with 2015 Regal Rye and 2013 BCBBW.

I don't know anything about the logistics of tapping a keg, but there's definitely something wrong w/ the kegs at 5H. Beer tastes great, but way way overcarbed. Had to wait a good 5 minutes for my pour to settle down and for the bartender to top it off to get it up to "10 oz." I let the glasses sit for a little while to calm down, but it definitely tasted like it was on nitro or something. Not necessarily bad, but not true to what it's intended to be. And at ~$20 a pour....

Is this something you noticed with all of your beers that day? Is it something you notice at Five Horses frequently?

I go there quite often (at least a few times per month), and I've never noticed this.

Also, the 2015 BCBS did have infections...was it that beer?
