I’ve heard awesome things about Death Tripper so intrigued by this.

 

Now & Then was probably my favorite beer of 2017. At least favorite IPA. I guess I'll be heading there on Friday...

 

Yeah, be sure to update us; I have to know if I'm dipping into my Stout Season funds for this or not.

 

Also, BA Big Hugs hit Capone's, so it looks like distro is starting today.

 

Might have to head to the city this Friday for American Elder (stay away from me-hee)

Despite distro is BA Hugs still available at Lincoln?

Was at lincoln last night and all BH are gone. However, they are on in the tap room, i must say that BA BH is amazing.

 

I'm wondering if they just took all the leftover bottles/cans that were still there Sunday night and sent them out to distro. I had thought they would at least have cans of regular BH last night.

I did get to pick up a 4-pack of Fluorescent, and taste BH, Vanilla BH and BA BH at the taproom, though. I think Vanilla was my favorite, although a whole bottle would probably be too sweet. I picked up cinnamon in the BA BH, which I thought was strange since it doesn't have any cinnamon added (unlike Vanilla BH, which does have cinnamon added). I also didn't realize they added maple syrup to BA Big Hugs.

 

Those 2 were variants, not the actual beers that were bottled.

Vanilla Cinnamon Big Hugs & BA Maple Big Hugs were what were on tap at least early in the day.

 

That would make more sense...but I was led to believe they were the same as what was bottled, since they just said Vanilla Big Hugs and BA Big Hugs on the board. Based on those descriptions, I would have assumed they were the same beers as what was put in bottles. I guess that means my Untappd check-ins are all jacked up now.

But, that still doesn't explain why I got cinnamon in the BA Big Hugs (beside just being my weird palate). And then I got no cinnamon in the Vanilla Big Hugs. I supposed they could've been poured wrong, but I ordered those two separately, so he would've had to screw up twice. Plus, the Vanilla Big Hugs was heavy vanilla, so I think that was the right beer. Oh well.

Looks like you're right...I just looked at the receipt in my e-mail and it shows Vanilla Cinnamon Big Hugs and BA Maple Big Hugs. I guess my palate was jacked up, since I didn't get any Cinnamon in Vanilla Cinnamon Big Hugs, but got a bunch of it in BA Maple Big Hugs.

Any other stores releasing BA Big Hugs? Sadly I was stupid and didnt get it on Sunday and still trying to get a bottle.

What time are the Half Acre can releases on Friday's generally? At open? I have the day off work tomorrow and I'm hoping to grab some of those Half Acre/Tired Hands collabs.

 

Yep. In my experience all of their releases are at 11am (open) at the retail shop on Lincoln.

I’m looking to pick up the collab and Fluorescent after work today. I need to balance out all the BA stouts I’ve been drinking with some IPAs.

 

Yeah, cans should be on sale when they open at 11. I'm looking forward to hearing opinions on this one, because I've been waiting for a new IPA from HA to go after. I like Fluorescent quite a bit, but I bought a couple 4-packs last time, so figured I'd skip this round.
