It's all right, but I'm not a fan, to be honest. I was hoping I would like this better, as I can get it relatively cheap right around the corner.

    Good morning BA
Looks like I confused myself and posted in yesterday's WBAYDN thread this morning. Drinking this now and it's been a few years. Still love this beer and love this style.

Cold, wet rainy day and a good time to stay put . . .

Dark roast coffee color with small cap.

Aroma of sweet dark toffee, dark chocolate, something like roast pecans with an overall impression of candy.

Taste on entry is not quite as sweet as the scent but the coffee, chocolate and overall roastiness come roaring forth. No hops that I could find but it doesn't need them. There is a confectionary candy presence that almost, but not quite, overcomes the roast bitterness but bitter wins out in the end.

    Full texture with balancing carbonation.

A lovely dark coffee-chocolaty thing that the resident Guinness fan really likes.

and the best part was the glass. After scoring a Guinness 200th anniversary mix 12 pack and buying two more 4 packs of last year's Founder's imperial stout, I'm needing to clear the fridge.

I drew the short straw yesterday afternoon and attended my 8th grade daughter's Mary Poppins Jr. school play parent meeting. About 45 minutes of this...

My wife actually said she owed me. That never happens. Hope she doesn't notice I'm not getting a lot done this morning
Cheers all and enjoy the beer in your glass (or sometimes just the glass):sunglasses:

This is from over the weekend. My wife put me on baby duty so she could take a nap. He just started crawling the day before.

Bad pic, a delicious beer, though. When it comes to pulling all the hop flavors EQ has no equal.

Bottled on 17SEP13 and still packing serious alcohol heat. It smells and tastes like bourbon infused raisins, figs and caramel candy. Perfect on a windy day that's 30 degrees south of yesterday's 65. It's beginning to feel like the season now. Cheers virtual bar patrons!

He's been keeping a low profile for reasons unbeknownst to this human until today when he appeared looking as jolly as a green alien can be. Pehaps depressed and reminiscing about last Christmas at the @LeperJim compound? He's definitely looking forward to Day of the Dark for many reasons. Hell, he glows in it! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::rofl:

Agreed! Still nicely carbonated with no signs of oxidation. Some vanilla and oak opened up once it warmed. It's been a bit since I last had one and I'm glad I popped the cap today. Cheers......
