Totally agree. Hell, i even traded my double barrel bottles for more rye whiskey. SO GOOD.

On board for alesmith membership 2018? Just saw their email.

Is this a surprise? I ask only since it's already late in the month. Many may have already committed to other clubs, who would of wanted to join. I suppose it's only a few hundred bucks. Hah.

$375? Seems about $75 too high. Their barrel aged beers are $30 and the nons are like 20ish. This is an easy pass. Won't this be the highest priced society(other than hoarder, you get a lot more beer in hoarders), maybe the lost abbey one? Like maybe if they said all 5 beers will be crazy speedway barrel aged variants, but not when I might end up with old-numbskull with vanilla (not that it is a bad beer, but I ain't paying $30+ for it).

Was excited when I saw the email and then saw the price and limited details. Easy pass. Now if they completely ramp up their barrel program and knock it out of the park I might have to think about it next year but that price seems way too high.

Yeah, price is a bit of a turn off. 4 of the 10 beers aren't BA and the were getting charged basically 37 a bottle.

And not even any discounts on growler fills or pints in the brewery?? That's a given in all of these memberships.

This late in the year, it seems like a "me too" effort with everyone else doing it now.

Agreed. This is overpriced and the lack of detail is crazy. Will bottles need to be picked up right away, or would they hold them for a year like the Bruery? Why not list a few of the bottles that will be released (again, like the Bruery)? Definitely a pass.

I agree with @IPA_Lush that a member discount should be a given. If you want to reward locals who frequent your establishment, what better way than a discount.

if the price was lower it would be for sure, but the high price and mystery on the releases make it hard to commit.
im sure it will be good just dont have $375 to gamble on it. i bet only 1 of the releases will be a speedway varient, the other 2 being wee heavy and numb skull variants lol

but maybe it will be some bangers

    pappy speedway?
    calavados speedway?
    triple barrel speedway?

I dunno, Modern Times apparently finds a way. Also, locals are rewarded as there is an additional club, kinda like Highland Park's and Monkish's beer friends.

Pass. But if u dont sign up and the exclusive member bottles do not sell out, the public can go there and purchase them. For onsite drinking only. BS!
