Bottle Logic Brewing (Fall/Winter 2017)

We haven't finished the beer yet, so I'm hedging my bets on finished volume. We saw a very unfortunate amount of loss with all of the finishing elements of Mxyzptlk; if we don't end up losing the volume we've calculated in based on that experience, I'll happily bump the per-person limit up!

 

@bottlelogiclindsay Any word on whether there will be a Campy Creatures release this month?

 

Our next Campy Creature will debut in January, but keep an eye out for the next Covalent Bond collaboration can in late December!

Space Trace 2018 was fantastic, as was El Duende. Was great to see Bottle Logic at the Extreme Beer Fest LA, and I picked up my Darkstar allocation and had a pour at the brewery Friday night.

2018 Space trace sneak peak is pouring at BL. It is... everything I dreamed it might be.

 

I think my "note" from Space Trace at EBF was that it was very similar to what I remember from bottles, but without all the coconut floaties.

 

I thought it was thin and lacked coconut.with no BA

 

Was it your last of fifty beers for the night? To say no coconut would be obscenely wrong. Everyone’s palate has an off night, that has to be the case here...

 

I only had 49 beers. How dare you! It could have been the Scotch Parabola I had previously. Holy HOT PEAT!

 

Oh maaaan...that scotch parabola was fire. Peat on fire. I think scotch fans would appreciate it, but it's a leap for anyone that doesn't do well with peat.

I definitely had to re-correct my palate after that drink. I actually thought the 2018 Space Trace had (significantly) more coconut than last year, but I'd agree that it wasn't the epitome of barrel character. My brother and I went to BL for the Space Trace release last year, so we had it on tap and we had several bottles between us.

 

I thought Space Trace was ridiculous. El Duende is still tasting awesome, but I enjoyed ST more. I am sure the finished product will be really good.
The lines were never too crazy either. I arrived at 7 and the line was out the door, almost to the food truck, but we had drinks in hand within 10-12 minutes. The staff was hustling like always.
