Spiteful Brewing: A Goddamn Delightful Day

I just bought a ticket for the 3pm-6pm session. I skipped this event last year, but I decided to go this year since they lowered the price. It seems like a much better deal this time around.

 

I'm in for this one. $55 for a bottle of one of my fave beers (and my gf's fave as well) + a BA stout of theirs, plus some quality time in one of my favorite beer bars. Should be a fun time, and I'm glad to support 'em.

Also, it seems like they did a good job listening to criticisms. You don't have to get Belligerent Bob if you don't want, and you don't have to get any glassware.

Love the 2 bottle vs. 3 bottle option. Much better than last year. See you at the second session!

 

If 4 Elf wasn't this day, I'd be all in. Seems like a much better event than last year, and reasonable.

I actually would've gone to this, but between one daughter has a birthday party that day and my family will be in town. Bad timing, but it sounds like a much better set-up this year in terms of price and what's included. My wallet certainly isn't crying over missing out on another beer, though. Hopefully everyone has a great time.

 

Was this last year or this summer? Thought last release was in 2016 too.

 

You're correct, it was this past summer (June 2016). It seemed like last year since there has been so many beer releases lately!

 

FYI My so-called girlfriend and I both got our ticket in the emailz today, so I assume everyone should be seeing theirs.

 

Is the ticket something other than your Order Confirmation email? I got a confirmation but nothing that's clearly a ticket.

Props to Spiteful and TGL on a fun and smoothly run event. Having the sample pours at the back allowed easier access to the bar, and while the place was pretty packed when I got there at 3:20 or so, there was at least room to comfortably stand, and getting a drink was no problem.

Another bonus: Hostile Harry was excellent! I had my sample pour, and immediately ordered a full pour at the bar. Happy to have a couple bottles of this to go with BAMCC!

UPDATING: Finally their taproom opens, right next to the HA Balmoral facility... awesome.

After 5 long years and 107 different beers, we are God Damn delighted to announce that on 12/16/17 at 11:00 am, we will open the doors to our new Tap Room at 2024 W Balmoral ave. We can’t wait to celebrate and have a beer with you!

really happy to see the taproom opening! spiteful is one of my favorites. their canned offerings are all top notch imo & living in the burbs it's been great to get them easily & regularly now that production has increased. I'm hoping to see some old favorites returning on tap & the taproom combo with half acre Balmoral is going to be dangerous...

 

I just like the fact of the proximity to HA Balmoral. You can go to one and if the draft list sucks, bar hop to the other.

 

Not a bad brewery/craft beer crawl up there.
