I just bit the bullet. That's a once in a lifetime opportunity for someone who just joined a few years ago and lives on the East Coast. Whatever, lol.

Honest question for anyone buying that package - what do you expect out of PiaPT and TTD? Are you buying it just for the novelty or do you expect them to taste good?

Two Turtle Doves was on at Terreux during the can drive and it was not good at all.

I think the fridge you just have to be there? But both tasting rooms have pretty big bottle selections that are listed on the tasting room on tap page.

Yeah I dont remember being able to check whats in the fulfilment fridge unless you just go. And the last 2 times I went I believe it was empty.

Thanks, could've sworn there was once a way to check, but I'm also crazy and delusional.

That Xmas set is a steal. If I didn't already have them all I would get it. Properly stored and preserved by the brewery themselves, can't beat the price. Makes me giddy about what else could be coming.

We have two very different understandings of what "a steal" means.

I also agree that it's a steal. It's also the only option I have at trying half of these without paying way more than what they charge per bottle. I'm sure for some of you that have been around for a while don't need it, but I jumped right on this.

Meh... so be it. I will end up splitting it with a few friends so it's not like I'm facing them all in a vertical, haha.

"Beers may exhibit signs of age as a natural result of their evolution since bottling. This includes souring of Barrel-Aged 6 Geese-a-Laying. All beers are sold as-is and as part of the set listed here."

BA 2 Turtle Doves and BA 4 Calling Birds are tasting pretty good too. I love BA 4 Calling Birds, it's like liquid spice cake.

Roble Blanco is good if you want a beer that tastes like a margarita. In that vein it was a complete success. In the vein of being what we want beer to taste like it was kind of a failure. Interesting concept and a great showing of the talents of the staff when it comes to execution but taste wise many were not a fan.

For as long as I have been a member, this is the first time ive been able to sit down and drink a bottle that is still available for allocations.

Yount and Port BT were arguably the 2 beers I was most looking forward to this year and I am so glad im getting to taste these included bottles without blindly buying more.

Yount just isnt for me. It somehow no longer has any BT left to it. Its like a boozy, bitter and tannic wine. I knew this one was going to be different, I just cant find anything to like about it.

As far as Port BT, there has to be something wrong with it. It tastes nothing like port BT of the past. Instead, its terribly oxidized tasting of soy sauce, cardboard and what I imagine moldy wood would taste like if you dared to put it in your mouth. There have been very few times in my life where a beer hit my mouth and made me gag...this was one of them. I truly hope my experience is a one off mishap and this isnt how the entire bottling is.

I'm not sure I'd call that a success. I've never drain poured a margarita
