According to their instagram looks like their first bottle release will be coming up shortly. Pretty hyped about this!

Oooh....said the Colorado mule train. Dovetail to go? Yes, bitte!
Though I could really use some Rauchbier...

Is this place any good? I tend to avoid breweries on that block....

If you like true Bavarian brews it's outstanding! Best option south of the state line if ya catch my drift!

Dude...not even a fan of most German beer styles and I LOVE Dovetail.
That shit is real. Guys/staff are great, and it's a low-key vibe in there most of the time.
Lager - Pilsen - Rauchbier are all on point (bock is awesome, dunkelweizen, I mean... yes!)

I've really been wanting to get to their taproom to check them out, particularly since FOBAB this year. Their open fermented brett Rauchbier aged in former Deth's Tar barrels was one of my surprise favorites of the day. Really complex & smokey.

Anyone know if the bottle releases will be taproom only or if they are big enough batches to see any type of distro?

Probably the best brewery in the city for my money, but then again I'm a known lager advocate. Assuming you're throwing shade at Begyle, I don't blame you since they're mostly forgettable.

I would be interested in this release if it weren't for the insane format. I hate large formats, and even moreso, I hate stupidly large formats (magnums and bigger). I'll be passing.

Edit: I misread the post. .5L is more than acceptable. I thought it was 5L, which seemed absolutely mental to me. Thankfully I was wrong. I think they should change that to 500ml for less confusion, though, but maybe I'm just an idiot.

5L would make for one hell of a bottle share.

FYI, they are also offering the beer on tap starting tomorrow. Gonna swing by and check it out if I can.

I know they haven’t signed with any distributors within Illinois. So I’m guessing they’ll sell through it at the brewery.

Drink through half a glass before making any judgements. It’s a truly unique beer and takes some getting used to.

Didn’t like it at FoBAB on Friday, went back to the well several times on Saturday (because I’m a dovetail fanboy) and really got into it, eventually. People who appreciate unique beers are going to dig this.

Didn't realize this release is actually the beer from FOBAB. Now I definitely need to get down there on Saturday!

They don't need a distributor at their size, they can self distribute if they choose.

Does Dovetail fill outside growlers? Thinking about grabbing 1 or 2 for a Christmas party next week...

Bottles still available? I don't think this will be too crazy of a release, but you never know around here.
