What beer are you drinking now? #1879

Good morning BAs! We've got about an inch of snow so far here in NW PA - had a fairly warm and dry deer season. The end of fall has been fabulous thus far. Today's New Breakfast Beer, courtesy of @Dragginballs 76 and NBS BIF #6:



Actually, a pretty damn good pumpkin-based beer!

 

Hey everyone! Today I tried making naan in the oven. I like it doing it on the stove top better. How about some lentil and beets with rosemary and lemon to go with this here beer. Cheers!

I’ve had this beer three times now, and each time it’s different. The first time was at the Farmhouse Fest - and I poured it out. Since I had already bought a bottle, I took it to a bottle share - and it was great. So, I bought another bottle. This time it was just ‘meh’.

I dropped a couple boxes off at Fed Ex and now I'm ready to drink a Breakfast Stout with a few Dunkers from Trader Joe's. I'm not in the mood for healthy eating on this cold and windy day! At least the lake effect snow is staying to the east for now. Cheers my fellow virtual bar patrons!

New and interesting . . .



Very attractive clear amber gold color with white cap.

Aroma of caramel like malt with just a whiff of floral hops.

Malt forward on entry with a definite sweetish cast. Brewer lists Munich, Vienna and wheat malts resulting in a deeper flavor with a touch of sweet. Hops are only lightly present, 11 IBU, and I don't know what they are, but when used at this level I suppose it doesn't matter much.

Medium texture with balancing carbonation.

Just enough above average to be called above average but if I lived in the distribution area I would certainly buy some.

Starting w/ envie, pale ale, from parish. Decent stuff too. Hazed with lots of that good citrus hops. Decent malt to keep it honest.

 

Pilsner at the local brew pub.

 

They serve them up fast here ba so might have my first back-to-back post here players. Hop rising, dipa, from squatters brewing. Again decent drinking with more of that resin/pine flavor. The 9% gives it good punch. An enjoy by date of 1/27/18,

My last call at this place. This is holy roller, ipa w/ mosaic & citra hops, from Urban South brewing. Now this is really nice. Dank and weedy as all hell, 11/20/17,

 

You get the snow, we get the dreaded "wintry mix."

 

Afternoon BA

While it's snowing in some of the NE, is just started drizzling in NYC. A bit too warm I guess.

A quick lunch time beverage at the local watering hole.

Finback Static Breeze, a 9.8% triple IPA collaboration with Southern Grist, brewed with Mandarin, Blood Orange and Grapefruit, dry hopped with Citra, Ekuanot and El Dorado.

What's it hopped with though?
