    The thought of a wet-hopped Alt beer might leave you scratching your head, but this actually turned out really nice because of the great balance between caramelly, biscuity malts and floral, grassy hops, with notes of citrus and a certain herbaceous earthiness.

    Hey, I'm back! Moved back to the mainland, home actually. Hawai'i got too expensive, but we really enjoyed it out there. Hated to leave, but it had to be done. Anyway, one of my typical "from late yesterday posts", Westbrook tapped '14 Apple Brandy Siberian Black Magic Panther, it was delicious!

    Morning BA

    At home today to have a flat tire fixed and to accept delivery of a generator. Between 2 hours at the body shop and actually having to clean my garage to make room for the generator, it's been a long morning.

    Normally I drink instant coffee at home, but this morning I'm being high end with a cafe con leche.

    Enjoying this variety pack . . .

    Dark, dark, dark color with deep tan cap that goes away fairly quickly.

    Aroma is dark roasted malt with an underlying sweetness that I can't quite place. No hops apparent.

    Taste is very rich roasted malt with a noticeable sweetness, sort of like a roasted nut dusted with cocoa power and sugar. Touch of chocolate with a full roundness and low hop presence. Just a few flavors and simply presented but good flavors none the less.
