Alpine still worth a visit?

There a likely at least few beers on that board that are made in Alpine.

 

I’m really liking Windows Up. When it’s fresh.

 

Bad Boy and Nelson are showing on GF's Mira Mesa tasting room, so no need to drive that far....

 

Why even drive to Mira Mesa for that plunk, when are people going to realize it's not the same beers anymore, not even close to its past glory.

Most likely no, there just isn't enough Nelson Sauvin hops available, and what Nelson hops are available there is a huge inconsistency in quality. Don't worry though, the plunk they call Nelson is nothing like the original in any way shape or form.

Having a Nelson right now in a bar in Dallas TX. As the great Jonathan Bender once said "not even close, buuuuud!!!"

 

Nonsense. I've been drinking it for years and the boy they're serving right now at the pub/tasting room is every bit as good as pre GF. High Kicks, Keene Idea and BB are still the best beers going...all brewed in Alpine.

Anyone remember the original batch cost? Thought it was at least $16 so now it's at $20

 

$17.31 last time plus fees came to $20.29 a bottle. I found my BPT receipt.

 

Just the fact that the label resembles nothing like the OG Alpine version I bought tells me this was most likely brewed at Green Flush. Alpine is dead to me, pathetic what they did to the brand, but the blame goes around to all parties involved.

I can tell you with 100% certainty that your assumption is incorrect. But hey, that's fine, one less person I have to compete with to get some bottles. Had a nice chat with Shawn about it too at the Mostra 4th anniversary event.

 

Good for you, go for it, I won't support GF regardless of what they do, so don't worry about me competing with you for their beers, been burned to many times and had zero intent on buying this, take my allotment as a X-Mas gift.

Alpine has been off and on since the merge. Wouldn't be surprised if this tastes nothing like B1. Plus going off there previous track record for BA releases (Process of Belief, Oden's Raven), this is an easy pass for me.

 

Well that was a very quick sale..I got 2 at least. Didnt expect to get more honestly, but it never popped back up to get more again.

 

Some friends were picking up bottles after the 10min timer expired. Guessing they might had adjusted the online quantity as they were watching the line form outside their tasting room.

 

Bottles did pop up again at around 10:11, and 10:21 for me, but were gone quick.

 

Yeah I saw the comment they held back bottles, but their numbers dont match up. Said they bottled 1000 but they sold 800 online and held 300 for tasting room (to get more money and people buying beer n drinking)..so my math sucks but that shit dun add up lol. Heard the line has been forming already..

 

Yeah, I heard roughly a dozen+ at 8am. I saw a few updated photos of basically the entire line staring down at their phones, likely checking trade boards or seeing if their friends got some in online and need that proxy hookup.
