I listen to a lot of music with political messages I disagree with, so I guess it would be hypocritical to refuse a beer for the same reason. Probably wouldn't have purchased this anyone so a wash for me.

"Politics in beer" question is irrelevant. They're a business. They can include whatever political message they want as long it does not break any laws, just like many other businesses do.

That beer became a "vanilla chore" by the end for me.

I think it's ridiculous, actually. For one of the supreme original craft breweries to get caught up in politics is a shame, in my opinion. However, I honestly don't care all that much as long as the beer is good; and I expect it to be because Stone rarely fails in my book.

Gonna probably need a backup beer after drinking one of these to wash the unneeded political BS taste down....

I love not having any haven away from this political shitstorm...

I miss that beer...its exactly what my palate needs to 'right itself' after a haze/juice bomb or two.

Eh, I gave up on the fruit stuff after a sampler of the Watermelon. I have to admit the grapefruit was good, but you can do that just using hops or hop combos. I'd rather just drink a real IPA, no gimmicks.

Ill try it of the fact i love peaches.

I stay out of politics. Politics and alcohol never go well. We can all remain friends while putting these opinions aside or keeping them to ourselves

And ill be the first to say awful things about the guy in conversation for many reasons,,, but a politically charged business decision is not smart.

I agree, I have always liked Stone and I would never inject politics into my business. Beer is the one place everyone can get along, have fun, and forget the issues of life for a few hours. Wish Stone saw it that way and just focused on making great beer.
    Cheers

I long for the days when politics was a much less mainstream and ubiquitous hobby. Rather it was reserved for fuddy duddies at cocktail parties...or, maybe I was just a kid

Ideally, information and civic participation is what we should strive for. However, I can't help but feel uneasy at the daily swings of chaos, reduction, and selective tolerance/intolerance.

All this political chaos makes me want to drink a beer. I guess Stone's message was successful :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

It sucks that every part of our culture must be infested with politics. At the end of the day, regardless of the party the politicians prosper at the expense of the citizens. Shame on Stone for alienating some of their fan base. Republicans, Democrats, Independents and people who could give two shits buy your beer, why polarize them? Do you want only certain people to buy your beer?

Cheers to BA for squashing political talk, we need some refuge from it.

I wonder what the distribution will be....only blue states?

In my opinion, Stone shouldn’t have gotten involved in politics.

I guess they have half accomplished their goal because we are talking about it but for all the wrong reasons. This is an instant not buy for me, I might even turn down this one for free.

I prefer to keep politics out of beer. Though I still think "Covfefe" would be an excellent name for a coffee beer, maybe a coffee blonde ale. :stuck_out_tongue:

Making a political statement is always a good thing. Kudos to Stone for this. Been done before though, and a lot less subtle, by Freigeist Bierkultur :

This is an excellent Session IPA as well, great depth of flavor for the ABV.
