So I will not mention the trader name just yet. would like to give it a lil more time but story is we agreed on a trade 2:1 ratio. He was the first to make contact of interested for the trade. We agreed on the trade a day to be shipped out. (Last Wednesday )
I came through on my end shipped out my bottles ( which he received last week on a sat! ) I messaged him on here as well as his cell phone requesting a tracking #
(He then replies with I don’t have the tracking number on me i at work ) ok no big deal.... following day still no tracking number. I message him again and he responds with the same excuse that he doesn’t have it and he at work!!!
By now suspicion is kicking in.
He then texts me 3 days ago stating these words.

“ OK first ally figured out what the problem was with your package. The to and from were reversed and I just received your package today. Going. To have to go down to fed ex and explain what happened and get a refund. Had this happen before as well. The damn people at the counter type in the addresses reversed. “

I say say ok well now I need the package re sent to a new address because I will no longer be at the og address I gave give a WEEK AGO to ship out. This was on Tuesday 12/12/17.
Since then I have text him again requesting him to provide a tracking number ASAP!

That was 2 days ago! He has yet to respond to me since Tuesday. Still has not provided a tracking number and has completely ignored all text messages I’m sending him.

Need some advice on what to do now?
He has no bad trade feedback with tons of trades. At a lost point with this.

Well - it is the holiday season... but, it sounds like a good time to name him and get his side of things.

Reversing addresses sounds like a pretty silly thing to do, and I'm skeptical that Fedex employees are doing so. If it keeps happening - create your own Fedex account and print out your own labels. Very simple.

    Name this guy, please.

Yes it’s understandable that there is a delay in receiving the package late do to holidays. What’s not understandable is having to ask for the tracking number numerous of times to only be ignored and never provided with the tracking number.

I’m a very understanding and patient person all I ask for is better communication and a tracking # @mrjones7114 you have already got your two bottles LAST WEEK!!!!
Bud what’s the deal with my stuff?

I tend to always assume a simple, innocent explanation for what transpired, rather than a complicated or devious one.

At this point, I think I would wait a bit longer to see if he makes good on his trade before trying to "out" him as a Bad Trader. The explanations he provided all sound like BS to me as well, but even so, I wouldn't assume he's trying to stiff you on the trade. A more likely explanation is that he simply didn't make it down to the FedEx store when he said he did (he may in fact be really, really busy around this time of year), and was too embarrassed to admit it. So he's coming up with all these ridiculous explanations for why he hasn't gotten around to shipping your box yet.

At this point I'd wait another week, and if at that point you still haven't received your box, then it might well be time to hit him with a BT tag. For now, it would be recommendation that you try to be patient, give this some time, and hope that your trading partner is currently simply overwhelmed with work, holidays plans, etc.

    Good luck.

Did you read his previous BT thread? He's done this before...

Yea that bad trader thread had some huge holes in it that never got explained. One of the reasons was the OP of that thread seemed very forgiving and didn't push for answers. He started the thread then got his beer, so he thought all was good.

@Sinhoptra, I hope you end of getting your beer, but either way please leave appropriate feedback for others to see.

I think this is always a good and decent approach, instead of jumping straight to, he is trying to steal. However, I think the reason most of these get started is radio silence, and this being the second time with this guy, he should know better by now. Sending a quick text would have probably been enough to avoid this thread.

Yes I have, and it's worrisome. Even so, I think it's a good idea to take a wait and see approach first, before assuming history is repeating itself. He continues to be a pretty active trader, and while I realize this is no guarantee, it appears that most of his prior trades have gone smoothly.

The amazing thing is that this BT has TWO Bad Trader threads started about him and yet he still has a 100% feedback rating. He needed to improve his trading behavior, especially his communications. I hope the OP will consider that when he leaves his negative feedback and maybe cites this or the other thread on it.

Not enough people search for traders on Bad Trader threads before trading...

While it's true most of his trades have gone smooth, he does have one other bad trader threads and 4 other trades were the person clicked positive feedback, but also said communication was lacking or bad and/or the shipping was an issue.

I still agree that waiting a little before any conclusions should be drawn is the right way to go.

This exactly. It was what I was trying to say and didn't, at least not well anyways.
The BT in question obviously has had communication issues and shipping issues in other trades, but since he has 100% trade percentage, what's the incentive to improve.

I think this beer gets sent, I just think nothing will changes with this guy until there is a reason.

Ugh. I've got a box out to him as well (to be delivered tomorrow) and I do not have tracking back from him (or confirmation he shipped). Shot him a text just now.

I am leaving middle of next week so hopefully his box for me was sent out...

Same here man. I had to give him a new address to deliver the box because “my box supposedly was sent back to him.
Curious as to know what bottle/bottles you are sending him?

This is actually one of the requirements before creating a BT thread (giving the other member an opportunity to make things right first).

I share everyone else's concerns about this guy, but still feel that we shouldn't rush to any conclusions at this point. Hopefully everything will work out OK in the end for the OP, but if it doesn't, there will be plenty of time to pursue this in the BT forum.

That being said, the post from @NiceBeerCans above has given me yet another idea for an update in the current Beer Trading recommendations section (before getting started). I completely agree, that running a quick search in the BT forum is probably something every new trader (or even an experienced trader) should do before initiating a trade with a new trading partner.
