Tank 7, I love it! By the way it is 2,80€ here or roughly $3. How much do you guys pay for it?

Yeah this beer continues to amaze me. I've passed it over in the past because
I'm not a big fan of spiced beers, but everything seems to work in Xocoveza.

It's cold and wet this morning, not a fit time out for man or beast, the cat stuck her nose through her kitty door then promptly turned around and went back to bed. Since I'm not going anywhere there's time for something suited to the temp . . .

Dark burnt umber color with gold highlights and small cream colored cap.

Aroma of sweet caramel and toffee backed by chocolate dusted ripe figs.

Flavor on entry immediately reminds me of eating toffee. It's sweetish rather than sweet but there's a definite ripe fruit aspect to it along with chocolate and the richness of a full bodied Oloroso Sherry. Some heavier nut flavors as well. This is a seasonal holiday brew but it isn't loaded with spices, rather there seems to be an absence of them, yet it conveys a feeling of holiday along the lines of Samuel Smith's Winter Welcome Ale yet it has a deeper, richer flavor. It strikes me as more a Belgian style with a lighter touch. Very approachable yet complex enough to sit and ponder over.

Full, almost chewy texture with balancing carbonation.

There's a lot to like about and complement this one. It manages to bring out the fullness of roasted malt without the bitterness. Very refined and almost gentille drink.

Too sweet and malty for my taste, pretty one-dimensional, to be honest. Slightly unpleasant boozy aftertaste as well, I much prefer Celebrator.

Howdy. Good morning and happy solstice. Back to the usual local (Colorado) beer and eye-opener. Cheers!

Feels good to be in my house, if strange to be out of Chicago. And learned that my favorite taproom in the Springs has closed. F**k. This city sometimes...

I like it so much I doubled up on it.

The bar manager gave me that glass yesterday when I had Duvel Single on tap at the Biergarden in Albany. Great place, great beer selection.

The one on the left has beer in it, least my take anyway. That is making the color of the bottle darker.
