Thanks for the intel. Doubt any cans are left at this point, but may try to swing by this week to drink some of their new offerings.

Any idea when their happy hour ends?

They've got another can release on Wednesday if that helps.

Yeah, was hoping to be around for that release but I'll be out of town. I imagine plenty will still be available by Friday, though.

Thanks for the info, but I'll just wait to try some at the bar on tap sometime since I'm a short drive from there.

Had both Night Life and Free Fall at the brewery last night and was disappointed in both. They are on tap, but it isn't being advertised on their menus. $16/4-pack for Free Fall and $20/4-pack for Night Life (I believe, although I may have switched those prices around...).

Only had the non-DDH version but liked it. Hoping to grab some if they still have any available at the bar. Anyone have any idea how much a 4-pack costs? They really suck about not posting prices even when they say they will.

$17 for a 4-pack at Whole Foods. Probably less at the brewery?

It's insane how under the radar in NY a beer like Instant Credibility is. It's one of the best beers I've drank this entire year. Absolutely delicious.

Shhh... agreed though. I had a can the other night, and I could smell the nose from 2 feet away. Loved it.

It's really incredible. Glad I randomly stopped into Whole Foods and grabbed it.

It costs less at Whole Foods than at the brewery? How does that make sense? Anyway, will definitely have to swing by Whole Foods to grab a few 4-packs.

Whole Foods operates on thinner profit margins. They have a lot of the cheapest beer prices in the city.

Anyone brave the weather to try Tell Me I’m Pretty and/or Nobody Loves Me?

Stopped by the brewery and picked up both last night. Two thick juicy delicious IPAs. Tell me I’m pretty finishes sweeter with a prominent flavor comtribution from the Vic secret. Nobody loves me is drier with an interesting citrus/melon balance from the hops. I think both of them are a little hot and could benefit from a few weeks of settling, but in all great beers that are worth picking up.

I’m still not convinced this makes sense. I don’t think I’ve ever seen it before without a sale going on.

Greenpoint knows they can sell their beer at the brewery for $20. People will buy it at that price and they will get the max profit from that price. They could sell it at a lower price, but why would they? But Whole Foods won't buy it from them for $20 per 4-pack. They'll only buy it for $14 per 4-pack (completely made up numbers), because they know they can't sell it at more than $20 and want to make money. And because Whole Foods is a huge company and can sell products at a slimmer profit margin, they sell it for $17.

Obviously it's not that simple but I think that's the gist of it.

    Speaking of Whole Foods....

Anybody know when they get new Greenpoint beers? Wondering if Whole Foods Bryant Park would have it already.
