[IMG] Time to plow after another 8 inches of snow, but first some coffee. The Last Jedi is on the books with my son and his Aunt and Uncles later. Family and great beer, love the Holiday Season. Cheers

Warming up for Everton v Chelsea. This beer is so good, I always taste coconut notes in with the chocolate.

Good morning BA, have a great Saturday! Got a bit of packing up to do, going to visit family soon. Will be a nice week off, but I have some lingering work stuff to do before Monday actually. Always bring my laptop home with me. Just need to charge up my iPod and get the music updated on it for the drive.

    Beers this morning:

Always amazing, though not as hazy as last year. Flavors of huge grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, and pine hops; with wheat, bready, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied; balanced bready/grainy malt and sticky/resinous hops in the mouthfeel. Crisp/drying finish and never astringent on bitterness. Amazing juicy, vibrant, and dank hop profile; refreshingly drinkable for an IPA. Mosaic and Equinox hops are my favorite of all time. They have been changing around the hops every year; but as long as those two stay, I don't care much. Got 3 packs this year, may get a 4th.

Always amazing! Flavors of huge nutty medium roast coffee, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, toasted brown bread, and light smoke/dark fruit; with some herbal/woody hop and coffee characteristics. Light-moderate herbal hop and roasted coffee bitterness; full-ish body creamy/silky mouthfeel, with some light sticky/chalky roast notes as well. Lightly increasing bitter/roasted dryness. One of the most coffee forward beers I've ever had. Huge on fruity/nutty coffee complexity; and the base brown ale is spot on, and very well balanced. Like a brown ale version of FBS, and I feel it is equally as impressive. Felt a tad more bitter initially than I recall last year, but is smoothing out nicely after 8 months. I seem to prefer this with a bit of age, just as with Breakfast stout. Still some on the shelf around in some places if I need any more. Really hope the BBA is in the BA series next year as rumors have speculated. One of the best beers I've ever had on tap, I can still remember what it tasted like, 5-6 years ago now.

Awesome BBA Doppelbock! Flavors of big caramel, milk chocolate, brown sugar, toffee, molasses, dark/brown bread, raisin, prune, fig, date, coconut, vanilla, bourbon, and toasted oak; with a touch of almonds and licorice. Light-moderate earthy hop bitterness and bourbon/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation and full body. Balanced creamy/bready/silky malt and oak tannins in the mouthfeel. Slightly slick and chalky. Lightly increasing bourbon/oak tannin dryness. Mildly increasing warmth of 13%, minimal barrel booze. The barrel presence and balance is awesome in this brew. Intense rich malt complexity and never cloyingly sweet. Really should enjoy this more often than I do. It's a year round shelf beer basically. We still have 2016 & 2017 vintages on the shelf. Really underrated stuff. A little harsher on the barrel this time around, but still really smooth as it warms up. Look forward to seeing how the 2017 batch turned out.

This is fantastic as expected! Aromas and flavors of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, bourbon, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, toasted oak, coconut, brown bread, chile pepper, cream, and light smoke/dark fruits. Light roast/char bitterness and pepper/cinnamon spice on the finish. Medium-full bodied and light-medium carbonation. Really amazing creamy, silky, rich mouthfeel; mild chalky roast, spice stickiness, and dryness. Very mildly warming 9.6%, slight increasing pepper heat. Loved this just a notch more than the base beer. The barrel presence is nice and not overwhelming, zero barrel booziness. Great barrel integration. A lot smoother/silkier from the barrel aging. Amazing spice/malt balanced just like the base beer. Definitely worth checking out again eventually. Got plenty of the base beer in stock, love it.

I haven't had that many Black IPAs yet, but this is clearly best in style for me. Brewed with spruce tips and blueberries, it's just fantastic.

Good morning, BAs! An early jump today, it seems. Unfortunately, my kids also got an early jump, so it took a while to finally sit down with some Founders Breakfast Stout.

A morning crutch as I smoke 30lbs of pork shoulder today for the masses coming over the next two days. Snow tomorrow should make the commute for some challenging thus setting the tone for a fun day. Why must I endure this holiday tradition?:rage: In all seriousness, it will be worth it and an enjoyable weekend. Happy Festivus all!

Ah, sunny warm yesterday replaced by cold, wet, blustery today as the front rolls in, so . . .

Hazy light gold color with white cap.

Pleasant aroma of light bread with yellow fruit highlights, spicy Belgian yeast hints of clove.

Taste on entry is mildly sweet which I think is due to yeast rather than actual sweetness, more an impression really. Some spicy elements present mid palate backed by ripe fruit. The flavors are not complex but the whole comes across as well put together. Finish is clean and some clove appears in the aftertaste.

    Medium texture with balancing carbonation.

Overall it's a welcome change from the heavier spiced Winter styles and comes across more as a milder sort of hefe weissen. I think this would work as a Spring-Summer brew as well with nothing more than a name change.

Time to drink and build. Adding on to my grill table with a stand to raise the firepit grill up a little higher. Prob not starting with the smartest beer at over 12% but who cares?

Good morning BAs! Another rainey day herein NW PA - I'm dreaming of a wet christmas! Today's New Breakfast Beer is:

Courtesy of a ninja box from @Dragginballs76 post NBS BIF #5, the coffee has REALLY held up. I rated this the same as Triple Barrel Big Bad Baptist (4.49)! My local connection has just started carrying Epic so I don't have to fly to Albuquerque or rely on the kindness of BAs to get hooked up.
