To me, IPAs have become the macro of the craft beer world. Most taste the same anymore, they have saturated everything and when I see older couples sifting through the coolers saying, "Did we try this IPA yet?" I know the tide has shifted. I'm not saying this is a good or bad thing, merely an observation.

I am drinking less IPAs now for a variety of reasons but the style clearly became popular for a reason. I don't see this lasting for much longer, though, as an over saturation of a style that relies on uber freshness won't be sustainable.

So did Stone not release the classic IRS in 2017? Was it just those barrel aged versions that came out this year?

Sucks to hear about Founder Imperial Stout, so does that mean a 2017 vintage won’t be coming out or 2018?

No Stone IRS but Founders already released '17 Imperial Stout but won't in 2018.

As long as GO TO 6x16oz is $8.99 and fresh Im in.......AB at $9.99 6x16 is also a great beer. Most other beer from Stone is too much $ for what it is. I had the original XO but not seen the 12oz yet but at $16+ a six I would walk by. I do like beer from Stone but dont really buy it but the first two I posted about.

    Enjoy

If Ruination 3.0 is anything like "1.0" I will be a happy camper.

If it's not the exact same recipe as the original, then they should just stop calling it Ruination all together. Changing the recipes for IPA and Ruination was a terrible move IMO, would be like SN changing their PA recipe...don't fuck with the classics.

Not a big IPA consumer but unfiltered EB is really tasty.

Xocoveza in 6-packs of cans and w00t in 6-packs of bottles is enough for me to forget all of the IPA’s.

I dont drink a lot of IPAs any more. Stone are my go to IPAs though because i know all they care about are IPAs and they will be well made.

I had the Stone VirtuAle IPA about 2 weeks back and that by far is my favorite new release they’ve done in the last few years.

Looking forward to this weekend trying Idolatrous IPA (El Dorado and Mosaic) and the Liberty Station Buoy 1 SD Pale Ale which is in tap rooms (Galaxy and El Dorado) is ten times better than Ripper and it’s not even close.

Nice calender, but now would you please just ship every one of them to Florida. Then again this does go against my views of not needing every beer a brewery makes to be on the shelf.

Reporting back on Idolatrous IPA. If you like Delicious you’ll like this one as the El Dorado stood out. VirtuAle IPA is still by far the best of the new IPAs they’ve released this year.

Anybody have a date when these will be hitting the shelves? I mwan, it's middle of summer and I'm not in a rush to drink one, but I'd like to get a six pack for Winter consumption!

I would say Americans have turned Stone into an IPA company. Take one look at the WAYDN thread. That really is what Americans are seeking, by and large, no matter how many people here will defend their variety seeking ways.

Oh look at the cloudy beer with the neon graphics. Give me more for my stupid one track mind and stomach

So many people on this website wanna fight me on these facts. They can't see it because they drank a tripel once last month so they feel like craft beer isn't losing its variety.

Even the tap lists are breweries that do various styles are usually 50% IPA.
