    You should notify Sierra Nevada.

In college I tasted a salty beer once, and when I looked at the bottle, the top of the neck had come off with the cap when the vendor opened it. I hadn't noticed and I had sliced my lips.

Take them back to the store.

I guess you complain to us and accomplish nothing or bring them back to the store and get a refund or exchange. Tough choices I know.

I would just return them to the store and get a refund or new pack. Not worth drinking. Most likely done at store being mishandled but give SN a shout out and maybe they will give you something for your issue, you never know.
    Cheers

Sounds more like a cosmetic issue rather than bad, oxidized, leaking beer bottles. Still, you wonder. I once had a customer that bought lots of German beers, but would always bitch about the many re-used and recycled bottles that were not brand new. I had always thought of the re-use of the bottles as a complete positive.

There is no reason not to E-Mail Sierra Nevada.

Defective bottles make it through form time to time. The neck is about the most common place you'll see exactly what you are seeing. Are they a big deal? Not likely. I strongly suspect the bottles in question would've announced their being a big deal long before those bottles made it to you. Like somewhere in the packaging line immediately after their getting capped because the amount of pressure that gets applied to a apply one will easily make mince meat of a truly compromised bottle.
p.s. You'll get far far better results with this qa/qc issue by taking it up with Sierra Nevada.

Relax man. This shit happens. At the very least you're out 10 bucks?
Take them back to the store.

Sierra Nevada had a recall on Tropical Torpedo for a similar issue earlier this year. Reach out to their customer service and they will take care of you.

Same with their spring seasonal last year, I had beer from the batch of the defective bottles but it wasn't a big deal to me, I just inspected closely before drinking. However, it is a bit concerning seeing this more frequently from them.

As an old truck driver, that kind of stuff happens when you double stack pallets, and drive way too fast over railroad tracks. Happened to me once with 1/2 gallon orange juice in glass bottles. Publix won't think twice about making it good.

Lets not make a mountain out of a molehill. The beers are fine, drink them, if not bring them back and I am sure store will give you money back or replace the bottles.

Before we blame SN there's no indication that this is a widespread issue or a fault of theirs at all. The bottles could have been damaged at a million different points between brewery to customer hands.
