Fantastic NEIPA! Aromas and flavors of huge passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, peach, apricot, pineapple, tangerine, lemon, and citrus zest; with wheat, white bread malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Very minimal pine, floral, grassy bitterness; and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Medium-plus bodied bready/grainy creaminess in the mouthfeel. Slight hop stickiness and dryness. Refreshingly drinkable and super extra juicy feeling from the fruit additions; perfectly balanced malts without being sweet or heavy. Absolutely spot on stuff for the style. My favorite fruited variant along with the pineapple. Still have to review the guava version yet, still have a 6 pack in the fridge.

Amazing DIPA! My BIL gave me a 3 week old 4 pack as a gift this weekend, almost polished it off already. Flavors of big tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, and pine hops; with moderate cracker, white bread, light honey/caramel malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied and moderately crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malt and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light resins/rinds, increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Insanely drinkable, never overly aggressive. Extremely dank and vibrant hops; with a nice solid malt backbone. One of the most refreshingly drinkable DIPAs I've ever had. Simcoe, Citra, and Centennial hops. Will be grabbing another 4 pack.

Insane as always, this years batch is absolutely killer! Flavors of huge nutty medium roasted coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa, toasted oats, dark bread, and light molasses/smoke/char; with some herbal/piney hops, touch of dark fruit. Incredible bittersweet balanced finish between roast/hop notes. Medium-full body; amazingly creamy/silky and lightly sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel. Some lightly increasing bitter/roasted dryness. Never acrid/astringent. I usually found it to be a bit too bitter/drying when fresh in previous years; always liked it with 6-9 months of age. Balance between malt, coffee, and bitter hops is perfect after only 3 months. Amazing mouthfeel. Just phenomenal. Still got a pack left from last year in the cellar, but I will definitely be stocking up on this one.

Always amazing, this is my favorite shelf BBA stout of all time. Flavors of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, caramel, molasses, toffee, bourbon, toasted oak, coconut, and dark bread; with lighter notes of licorice, raisin, smoke, and char. Balanced bittersweet roast/char finish with some spicy bourbon/oak against sweetness. Light-medium carbonation and very full bodied; creamy, silky, velvety, and rich mouthfeel. Slight bitter roast and tannic bourbon/oak dryness. Very smooth sipping, mildly warming 10.9%. This and Wulver are always in my cellar stock now, despite the price. Worth it for me though.

Don't usually drink on weekdays, especially this much, but it's winter break...a great perk of teaching! 18th Street/Mikkeller San Diego Trub Wizard DIPA. Really legit NE style beer...maybe the best they have put out of the style so far. Super hazy and juicy. Cheers BA!

If CBS came in four packs and was priced somewhere in the vicinity of Backwoods Bastard, I would join the chorus singing its praises. I enjoyed it just fine. But I don't think it lives up to the price, its rating on this site or the overall love showered upon it. Good on those who do think it's a perfect 5 and worth $30 a bottle though.

First canning from Decorah does not disappoint! Really like the total re-tool they have done w the recipe — going all in w/the NE style. Thx @bsohns for the first Decorah 4-pack to arrive in New England...:beers:
