An Imperial Arrogant Bastard, awesome stuff. Rich flavor profile and sublime mouthfeel, a brew that truly deserves to be called "liquid arrogance".

For the art lovers out there - Brouwerij ‘TIJ’s “IPA”:

A little hazy; long cap retention and moderately heavy lace. Caramel malt, pine, and lemon rind nose. Lite pine, Meyers lemons, some bitter orange zest with more than enough caramel malt foundation. Moderate plus carbonation, resinous tongue coating, medium lite body, otherwise fairly crisp and lite. Overall, excellent balance between malt and hops; lite bitter citrus linger, no alcohol taste; super easy drinking; a well made west coast style (even if it is unfiltered) American Style IPA. A 4.5 (just under) in my book.

Have a great day my virtual bar now brethren!

Good morning BAs! Today's New Breakfast Beer isn't THAT new - I'm on my second four-pack, but it's new to me this year and I haven't reviewed it until today:

Impression: Let me start by saying that I don’t really like the winter warmer style. That being said, I keep trying them in the hope that I’ll find one or more I do like. I have succeeded. While the appearance is very nondescript, the aroma is enticing. The flavor and palate or both unexpectedly attractive, with the carbonation balancing the nearly syrupy viscosity to make a drink that is hard not to swallow. The cloying sweetness of the honey is sliced and diced by the tannin and vanillin from the wood aging. Overall, the best winter warmer I’ve ever had – I’ve actually purchased a second four pack and may pick up a couple more.

    Good Morning BA
The first, and hopefully coldest, of my four nightshifts is behind me. Stood three feet from a 2000 degree furnace last night and could see me breath. Needed a little warmup when I got home...

I'm editing, so PW Blood (of the Unicorn) seems like a good morning choice.

The temperature is up to -9 degrees from a low of -13. Just laying low as it's too cold to walk the mutts and I'm hold off running until tomorrow morning when it warms up to 0. The little fur ball Bailey that occasionally makes an appearance here turned 2 today, so we baked a peanut butter and apple dog cupcake for them to share. Yeah, we're crazy dog people that love our four legged friends. Time to enjoy my beer in a warm house as the girls enjoy their treat. Cheers to all our pets!

Geez you guys. I lasted about as long as that guy in the other thread . You know the one who can't age beer because he drinks it the minute it's chilled. In my defence I did some yoga. Cheers!

One of the best beers from Belgium I’ve ever tasted - Rodenbach’s Caractere Rouge, a Barrel Aged Flanders Red Ale:

Red/amber/lite brown; quick thin white cap but lace sheets the glass to last drop; and medium thick legs on swirl! Intense sour cherries, fruity red wine nose. Tart juicy cherries with acidic bite; red wine, plum, currant fruits with lite toast malt backbone. Medium body, acidic tingle on tongue, lite and crisp; dry tannins like wine feel. Overall world class; sweet fruit finish notwithstanding sour cherries/fruit flavors; smooth complex fruit and red wine notes; no bitterness. Simply awesome.

I’ve got another 1/2 of the 750ml bottle to go, so I’ll check back in after dinner. Cheers from Zurich!
