3 will be fine. Drop a chair, go inside and return to line at 4:45. Line will be long, not quite as long as a weekend and not quite as long because it's really cold. Other than that, it's still a shake release.

Happy new year gang. Looking forward to another year of
You should be fine. They have really been throttling allotments recently. The Monkish collab release is a perfect example.. Each shake release has lasted the entire line since at least August. If you arrive at 6ish you may be in line until 7:30ish, but you will get beer.

Let's hope! I got there around same time for the tangerine shake and missed out by 20 or so people. Haven't been to a shake release since. I guess you could say I'm a bit salty, but optimistic

So I've never had a milkshake beer from TH...does anyone know how these compare to some of the OH Daydream beers with lactose? Are they similar in styles?

Tough to say, both are an IPA, both use lactose. I tend to prefer OH Daydream to the TH shakes because they tend to touch on flavors with the hop profile as opposed to fruit and vanilla. There is people out there that absolutely flip over the shakes though.

Just reading through the Tired Hands instagram feed... holy moly what a bunch of whiners. I had stopped reading during the releases as I found there is a bunch of trolls sharing line info that is simply incorrect, but the bickering over what time to put down chairs is totally pathetic.

per their instagram feed 700 allotments of Pineapple shake.

All that crying about chairs in line, all for nothing.

Hoping they have 3 registers like they did for Strawberry...that line was so quick

I wouldn't count on it. The pace of shake lines are obnoxiously slow (at least the ones I have attended). Show up early and wait or come late and wait.

Yeah I figured it'll be slow. Anyone have any parking recommendations? Never went to a weekday release where I had to wait more than 15-20 minutes

skip the meter spots and cross over athens... its like 2hr parking back there and it opens up in to the neighborhoods on either walnut or simpson.

Thank you! Getting there around 230 so the neighborhoods are the best bet?

Apparently the line is already 2 blocks long. The lactoseladz are out in full force.

pineapple last year... think it was a friday... had about the same 700 allotments and i think made it to close to 8 pm.... wasn't very good, but that is what i remember about the last time they did pineapple.. hope that helps some people plan or something... idk... never know if they fixed this one and maybe it'll be a pineapple bomb and people will rave about it but last year no pineapple came through in the beer whatsoever... truthfully i don't think i've ever had a pineapple flavor in a beer shine..... want a pineapple milkshake.... buy some dole pineapple juice... buy some nilla ice cream maybe a bit of vodka and hit the blender button

How late do you think you can show up for a shake release?

Three registers tonight was nice. Was about 250 in line around 3 PM and had beer by 5:40. Not terrible

What a strange release. Got there around 5:20 and was at the driveway for the apartments... Line moved super quick. The release went through the door inside. It took less than 30 mins, easily the quickest fastest shake release I have been to. 3 points of sale going strong. It didnt look like there was a ton of shakes left when I left around 6pm, but they had 700 allotments. Then I saw on Instagram they sold out around 7:30ish. Crazy they sold that much that fast...

Yeah, a Shake on an extra-cold night in January (even if it was warmer than it has been lately) had all the makings of a disastrously uncomfortable release but this was exceptionally smooth. There's no reason all releases shouldn't be like that, or shorter. I think it also helped that there were only two beer choices.

And wow, 700 allotments in a little over 2 hours is crazy.
