Out of curiosity, what style of beers would you like to see more of in 2018 (aside from another IPA of any sort). Personally, I'd like to see more Belgian Quads, Scotch Ales/Wee Heavy, and Old Ales. Figured I'd open this up to the forum to get a wider variety of input.Cheers!

Less pastry stouts and cleaner tasting hazy IPAs. But really more pilsners and barleywine.

Old ales and barleywines. Hoping California gets distribution of the new Thomas Hardy's Ale.

When it comes to new breweries opening in San Diego, I wish for QUALITY over QUANTITY. So many small, shitty breweries all over the place.

This happened during the micro-beer craze in the late 80s and early 90s. While I don't think that we will see the bounce back like in the late 90s, I suspect that you will see market correction and several of the under performing will be gone in 3-5 years.

Hit nail on the head for me. I personally have been a ***** to find/buy as much barelywines (mostly English style), old ales, scotch ales, and quads.

Considering broad styles, I'd like to see more barleywine and pilsner. Within styles, I want more porters and stouts in the 8-9% range. Also, more focus on drinkable wild ales, and non-classic brett expression.

Personally, I want to see the death of IPAs in bombers. The mark ups are so crazy. They just sit around at liquors for months on end, often time without refrigeration. Gimme more 12 oz six packs or 16oz four packs.

I'd like sours to be more....sour. There seems to be a trend of wild ale houses making more "balanced" sours that are really just tart. Some of us actually like teeth stripping sours. I can always add some lactic acid at home, but it's not the same.

Would love to see some of the bigger stouts get packaged in cans or smaller bottles.
