Unless you know a person's financial condition, best probably not to call people cheap.

All of their BA beers have that consistency to me. I usually still love them (barrel flavor and adjuncts are on point), but the thin, fizzy body on their stouts hold them back from being world class IMO

There's that and even if I can afford it, I do not feel some of those prices are justified. I couldn't care less about the 'hip' factor of any beer.

I'm sorry if that was offensive, but you chose to buy a bottle of Cocoa Coconut Narwhal. Which is $20 or more a bottle. So, you can't be doing that bad.

I’m assuming Boston isn’t getting this beer. It’s been about a month since other parts of the country got their shipments.

If anyone is in parts where this is still hanging around in stores (probably unlikely) pm me please. Cheers!

This was never seen in the wild in downstate IL. Ended up trading for a few thanks to a friendly Ba. Had one last night. This may be my favorite BA Prairie stout to date and is right up there w/ AB Noir for me. Once it came up to temp it was a boozy thing of beauty. Vanilla wasn't overpowering, coconut was well done. Packed a wallop at 15.8%. I thought it had sediment floating on top at one point, but no, those were tiny little bits of coconut. I'm really happy to have a second one of these in my cellar, and look forward to sharing it with friends.

This never made it to me either. As I understand it, Pirate bomb was almost exclusively an Indianapolis only drop. Interesting how some of the these - despite seeing such wide distro - were also extremely limited.

I'm always been told by my beer store guys that they have no idea when or what PAA they're getting. And when they are transparent with me on all other releases, I have no reason not to believe them. I hear it from friends in other areas too. Distro seems to be a mystery with the. Last year around this time we got Pirate, Coffee, Vanilla, and regular Noir, along with BA Bomb! on the same day, at more than 1 store. I was hopeful it was a sign of things to come. Alas, it has not been. Last BA offering I saw from them was Bible Belt, but we didn't see the regular one. So go figure. We seem to get all the non-BA stouts, and a big shelf full at that. Still never saw any Noir from this year or Pirate Bomb.

EDIT - I probably just need to find a regular OK connect for trading...
