They made a sour porter so they will definitely try *anything*

Sounds amazing. Tell me more about this Hudson Valley sour NEIPA stuff, not familiar with it.

Had a few HV sour NEIPAs on NYE. Super interesting stuff. Not quite sure if I love it yet.

Maybe someone else is better at answering than me, but it seems to me like it's the next big upcoming hyped style. I'm not sure how Hudson Valley does it, I would assume either kettle sour and then insanely hop on the levels of NE IPAs. But I read an article recently on Hudson Valley and it states they do a lot of 'blends' and they have lots of sours on deck, so it could be they brew a hopped up NE IPA and blend with one of their aged sours, which I would guess would create a more interesting complex beer.

But either way, it's a sour with as much hops/dryhopping as a NE IPA and w/ that thick fluffy opaque body, i.e. for reference:

Not sure which approach Marz is taking, but based on the quality of their most recent NE IPAs I am very excited about this upcoming one. Seems they have two NE IPAs coming up real soon which is great for me and bad for my wallet/fridge space.

Wow, that doesn't even look hazy- it looks like a solid.

Ah, seems the Marz wild NE IPA is going to be in bottles, not cans:

Was excited for this until I saw it’s going in their terribly priced small bottle format. Was hoping for cans!

It's Marz...are you sure it's in the bottle and not packaged in those fruits on the table?

This one sounds interesting. Since the haze has been so strong i'm gonna give it a go even with the bottle format.

Did they go bottle format because they didn't want to risk contamination of the can line, or is that not really a common occurrence?

Also, wonder if this is something that can withstand a bit of time and maybe that's why it's in bottles as opposed to cans. I don't know if I've seen many sours in a can (can't think of any, really).

All of Destihls sours are in cans I think. All I can think of off the top of my head.

I guess when we mention sours I’m thinking Hill Farmstead, Side Project, Russian River, Jester King,... not so much Desthil and Noon Whistle. But fair point none the less. I haven’t had any sours from either of those places which is why it didn’t ring a bell.

Fair enough. Honestly I couldn't think of many either when I was trying to think about it.
