Turns out I used to enjoy lots of things without alcohol. Gonna try that again, along with the added benefit of getting healthy. Gotta get in game day shape! I figure the money I save from buying less beer will offset the cost of the gym.

I do have a couple “cheat” days lined up already due to a couple significant things going on (beer drinking buddy from SD in town and the Wings/Hawks thing at GI).

    So excited for this beer.

At least since I've never had it before, I can't complain about it being better last year.

Every January it seems like no one ever liked the previous years release and yet I always enjoy Hopslam year after year after year. Strange.

Livonia Liquor and Fine Wine had a couple cases today around 5 pm. They had a one 6 pack limit.

...anyone see it at Meijer yet?

I'll ask my dad if he still has one. He probably thought it would turn into a barleywine or something.

I'm sure someone complained last year that they couldn't taste the honey.

Ok so here's the follow up for the year old 6er of Hopslam I picked up the other day...
    (Like you care :rolling_eyes::grin::stuck_out_tongue:)

One of the owners gladly refunded my money and explained how him or his partner had nothing to do with this mix up.
Said the rep brought a few cases in and just dropped em off. Knowing not that the beer was to be released next week :smirk:

Also said I was the only one who had came forward and said something about the old beer...

Just glad they made things right by me
    Thanks guys!

    Sounds like a sneaky distributor
::looks at availability sheet:: "umm guys Hopslam comes out in a couple of weeks but we still have a bunch" "Don't worry just put it on the order sheet, no one thinks to check the dates when they come in?

The 97 vintage is really hitting its stride and drinking perfectly right now. You can't taste hops or honey anymore which is exactly what HopSlam is intended to be and why this beer is best after at least 20 years in the cellar. Lay some down now for your unborn children and you can send me a thank you in 2038.

They probably told that store they were getting HS before everyone else as long as they bought a stack of out of date beer. Typical distributor bullshit, they were probably hanging on to a bunch of last year's HS to leverage turds and forgot about it in the warehouse. I'm pretty sure Bell's would love to hear about this....

Other possible Dad handles include @King_Henry or @OldeSchoolSilverFoxSlayer or @SugarDaddyBluegrassBillionaire. The real question though, who is @NewMoneyPastryBoi ? I have various hypotheses on whose second (or third) account this is...

I saw a FB post from a Bell’s rep, that said there is no recall, no problem with the beer. It you have a leaking can take it back.

    What have you read?
