What is your garage beer?

    I'm pining for the warmer days where tinkering in the garage is much more frequent. My garage is heated, but I don't tend to spend as much time out there when the weather is so cold.

    The staple of the garage tinkerer is a fridge stocked with garage beer. For me I'm generally looking for something relatively cheap, low abv... Sessionable if you will. A good garage beer is refreshing on a hot summer day.

    I tend to keep some Dale's Pale Ale and Yuengling in my fridge at all times. All Day IPA or PC Pils will usually get some garage time for me as well.

    So, BA garage tinkerers, what qualities make a good garage beer for you? What beers would I find in your garage fridge if I were to help you out on your next project?

    The garage fridge gets Dale's Pale ale and SN's Pale Ale. If you look into the darkest corner you might find a bottle of two of Old Rasputin.

    Since I brew beer in my garage, I guess all my homebrew is garage beer.

    My garage fridge is in my basement. Beers come and go but I always have Two Hearted available.

    Beer I will be drinking in my garage this Summer while smoking (food) and/or doing other things will most certainly include SN's Hazy Little Thing, probably Tröegs Nimble Giant, and whatever else I decide to consume.

    Abita's Strawberry Harvest Lager tends to be my go-to for working in the yard or garage during the Spring.

    I live in NYC and am not a multimillionaire = I live in a very small apartment. My “Ikea Corner” beer usually need to be something strong.

    Very cool. Do you like living in NYC? Lived in a smaller PA city in my early 20s and loved it.

    Garage beer seems a ways away after the long string of some of the coldest weather we've had in many years.

    I look forward to putting more Urquell in the fridge.

    Yeah man I’ve been here for 10 years and do love it (and lived in London, another big city, before that). But now we have a toddler I’m ready to leave! Haha. Can’t wait to actually have a yard / garage.
