New Glarus Brewing (2018)

A lot of FIBs drive like speed demons, but personally I like that. There's a fair few that do sub-100 and won't get out of damn the left lane, but there's just as many inconsiderate WI drivers that do the same. Milwaukee requirements to get a drivers license is just having a positive IQ, so it doesn't get much worse then some of those people. It's sad the amount of people that blow red lights or drive the wrong direction on one-ways.

 

Has anyone heard any word if the Cranbic is the blond base or brown base this year?

 

In Chicago, Illinois drivers are in their habitat. Anywhere else, they drive like a-holes. And I personally love driving in Chicago. But I don't drive that way here at home.

If you aren't hyper aggressive & opportunistic in Chicago, you'll never leave your block.

Sometimes it's hard to turn it off once you're out of the city. It's happened to me.

 

Anyone else always say man I love those ng fruit beers but I never can do them myself...and now with 12oz bottles I find myself drinking 3 a night haha

 

By too slow you must mean the posted speed limit, yeah we pay attention to that here.

 

I get livid when someone infront of me is driving the speed limit. Speed limit to me means a minimum of what the sign indicates + 5mph.... minumum.

 

WI drivers are guilty of it to a much lesser extent but I've never understood why FIBs drive the same speed on the freeway regardless of the speed limit. 45 mph construction zone, they're driving 70 and I've got to go 65+ just to avoid getting tailgated even in the right lane. 70 mph speed limit and all those FIBs are still driving 70 and are in my way and driving me nuts.

 

You, and those like you, cause my anxiety to skyrocket while driving. I really don’t want to get pulled over but I’m super anxious about pissing people off (by going the speed limit). It sucks a lot

 

I don't think there's any issue with just driving the speed limit. It's when you're in the left lane and blocking traffic from passing (usually because the other 1-2 lanes are going the exact same speed, right next to you) that it's an issue. In a lot of parts of the country drivers will get pissed at you for even being in the left lane if you're not actively passing someone (as it's the passing lane). Here we just get mad if we can't hit the requisite 90 mph on I-94

A couple questions to those who have been to the brewery lately: Is there any Hometown Blonde and Zwickel still available? Anyone know if Zwickel is going to be made regularly?

 

I asked a buddy who was at the Beer Depot last week and he replied "I know for sure Hometown Blonde is there. I didn't see Zwickel but I only glanced around at the non R&D stuff."

Alright, thats enough NG beer talk. Lets get back to FIB driving habits.

 

Why is it that you FIB's drive 90 mph coming to WI, then drive 6 mph in Lake Geneva? Have you never seen a tree or grass before? Drives me nuts!

 

Lake Geneva has too many streets to turn down, and too many stupid tourist-trap shops!

(I've been going to LG all my life, and yes, it's annoying as hell)

 

There's a new one every summer! The building next to Carvetti's (this place sucks) is being renovated. Looks like a restaurant though. So many spaces for lease. Fib's, bring your wallets!

 

So like...prime places for a flop-house?

 

Gotta be first in line for the next Geneva Lakes Brewing one off!

 

Anyone know if any R&D is available at the brewery?

 

While we’re at it, is there any Zwickel or other randomness there?
