If you're talking about malt and/or yeast related oxidation, I've never heard of trans-2-nonenal being described using this character. What other compounds would you consider to contribute to a "metallic" character? Hop-related compounds, perhaps?

My first name is Ira. Carbomb refers to the combination of guinness, Bailey's, and jameson.

I thought that was a possibility too. However, the bartender asked no further questions when I said it was off. And I got some anecdotal evidence that at least one other person returned their pour.

Lol another case of somebody getting their feelings hurt for no reason. I'd expect more from a guy from Arizona, but I guess they make cupcakes everywhere.

I'm pretty neutral about fellas named Ira, but I fucking LOVE Irish Carbombs. IRAcarbomb, no matter how spurious the story of the name might be, is OK with me.

Not an issue with me, I guess some of us have a sense of class and well some don't have any, to each their own.

The Atlanta area has some great places to drink craft, but these places are 20 miles to the south of me. I wish I could afford $30 uber each way to drink, but I'm more in the $10 each way income bracket haha. And the places within 5 miles of me have issues.
You know what I should probably go out 2x month rather than weekly so I can afford to go to a real beer bar. And the breweries near me are either average (Red hare) or ive burned myself out on them (burnt hickory).

You're right, I'll quit talkng about cows, peanuts and scissors. Those all hurt people and they kill as well. Cheers to a new year and new things to get offended about!

P.s. This website is about a substance that kills millions of people every year. Just fyi

I was trying to point out that what someone found amusing as their name is actually not very amusing but I don't think you get what I am saying so we will leave it at that.

Beer kills millions a year? Brain cells maybe, not people.

Which is caused by mismanagement. If they have a reputation/badge for this, management must know - better know, and they let it keep happening.

I suppose there isn't a breakdown hard liquor vs. wine vs. beer, but I expect hard liquor causes the majority. Beer is too slow a death for hard-core drinkers.

I have stopped purchasing draft IPAs from several small mom and pop restaurants for that very reason. I have had too many experiences where I order a draft of something that I am very familiar with and get total YUK in a glass. Dirty or old I am not sure. I am just way more careful than I have been in the past.

Ugh, I could never give a Soy Bomb a second chance, that awful smell and taste is just disgusting. Hit on a BA Ten Fidy that thinking about it makes my stomach turn, I could get it replaced for free but I'm not I just couldn't drink it.

What college town? I graduated from a college in Poughkeepsie in the late 80's. I've always enjoyed your contributions to BA and thought it would be cool to have a beer with you, but maybe I already have.
I meant to edit this, but deleted it by mistake. A Superego IPA will do that to you. Go Red Foxes!
