    I mainly ask because I had a can from Stone Berlin a while ago and wasn't that impressed with it. Don't get get me wrong, it was nice enough, I was just expecting more after hunting this down for ages and all the hype. Maybe that was just the problem though: too high expectations. I did like it, but I felt that the spices were a little too muted, especially the cinnamon and chili, which seemed quite overshadowed by the nutmeg and vanilla.

    I might also simply had it too cold though, straight from the fridge. Recent experience has really taught me the value of warming up a beer a bit, especially additive Stouts. Luckily I managed to get my hands on another can, which I'm warming up while typing this :grin:.

    Yes, I moved. Weather in CT and PA is quite similar.

    As for the speedo, last time I did that, it shut down the internet. LARRRGE©...

    Ahah I know sir, I felt like joking with ya a bit. We haven't seen you fool around much here lately so the joker in me was awaken.

    In your defense, moving out might have been quite a job itself, similar climate yet pretty far apart. Hope you are well settled and in a new beer environment which never hurt.

    Hey BA's, and happy Monday....survived yet another annual external audit at my work today, with no findings or problems....this deserves a beer...think I will BOMB this day!

    This is the 2nd beer I've had from Dark Horse. Both have been worth getting again.

    Woke up at 6:30 and drove all the way to class 30 minutes away to find the gate locked and no one there. Due to "possible ice". I don't plan on venturing out today. Downtown is going to be a shit show. Bama vs Georgia plus Trump? I'll say no thanks to the traffic and road closures.

    My kitchen fridge is way too cold (probably just right for food) so I usually set beer, especially stouts, on the counter for 20 to 30 minuets to warm up. I too thought the spices were backed off vs. prior years, which I prefer re: the cinnamon. Cheers to your next can!

    I have to say that warming this up didn't improve it much. It's a perfectly nice Stout, but overhyped, in my opinion. It's just a little too mellow for my taste, I would have loved for the spice to come out more, especially the chili.

    Interesting beer from a new brewery. Comes off more as a pale wheat ale dry hopped with Citra. Not bad, interesting trial.
