Having a Piraat from a magnum sized bottle, that is 1,5 liter (about 50,7 US fluid ounces).

Found this one after the hollydays early last year. It was an absolute bargain. I think the shop just wanted to have it out of the way after new years eve.

Took advantage of the recent cold weather we are heaving around here. Put it in a cupboard outside, because this bottle does not fit in the fridge in any angle.

Taste is sweeter compared to the normal small bottle version. And there is less of a boozy edge (only in taste). Awesome beer and highly recommendable in any size.

Picked some of this up on my way from class. Already downed one bottle, second should be even better. Was too lazy for glassware. No shame.

Sierra Nevada - Hop Bullet


This stuff is way too drinkable for an 8%. Hop profile is more hop forward with less malt, Sierra has impressed me with the last two new IPAs I've had from them. Branching out just enough but staying true to the way they do things.

Pro tip with Alien Church, let it warm up some, I actually avoid it when they have it on tap because I feel they keg their kegs way too cold.

 

When I first poured this it was too cold and I didn't think much of it. Feed the cats, walk the dog, make a samich and lo and behold, the sucka' warmed nicely and became "AFG". (Awfully fuckin good).

 

Didja' ever spend extra dough to upgrade somethin'? And then realize that the upgrades sure were really nice... but they weren't really worth all that hard earned money when the standard model worked so well and made you just as happy anyway? Welcome to CBS.
