    Evenin', BAs :beers:
Even though this is 6 weeks old (at least) , it still tastes fresh, despite being 4%abv. Has oats and wheat, for feel. Not "hop water". Wonder if that is the secret? Anyway..., a good one. :sunglasses:

Ack...they were suppose to have a bottle at total wine but couldn't find it so I had him get me 2 bottles of JW Lees Barley Wine....Which is cool.

Looks as though the last release of this was back in 2015...

    Barrier's Axilla...
Got this release, no bottling date, but based on Barrier's Facebook page, looks like a December 20th, 2017 release... 6.5% abv, pre-aged 14 months "for maximum betterment"... Gave the ole' measured "Belgian pour" into a tulip - not being sure how the head would form or if any sediment was present...
A pungent wine-like smell perfumed the air, suggesting sour grapes and damp grains... Dry lemon pith and crisp cracker and biscuit impressions followed on the sip, with a vinous green bitterness of white grape skins and an undertone distinctly brettanomyces... funky, tacky, lightly tangy, and vaguely herbal... Light-bodied and dry, with a very subtle sweetness and mild bitterness...

Second half of the bottle pour revealed no sediment, and the more vigorous pour didn't kick up any more head than the first pour...

Wanted to tone down my enthusiasm a bit as a nod to the fact I'm not a regular farmhouse ale drinker, and I didn't want to over-hype it for the style, but I really loved this beer... I thought it to have some elements suggestive of pilseners and an IPAs, from the malt bill to the citrusy hops, so I'm not sure if a saison purist would rate it as highly as me for the style. Personally, it'd been a long while since I had a brett brew, and this really hit the spot...

$9.99 pint bottle at Total Wine...

    Cheers...

Continuing the trend of NE style IPA brewed by Larger than normal craft brewers I give you yet another excellent example in the style!

And a very well brewed one at that!

What it lacks for in proper appearance it makes up for in taste, Plus they can sip of sunshine and tottaly get brownie points for that!

Cheers BAs! Way to many " ! " marks!

[IMG] Seems to be the Tuesday WBAYDN brew of the night, so I will join the other cool kids. Hell a few weeks into Winter and this Spring Seasonal is really hitting the spot.

That's what I figured, so passed. I can get similar( albeit 7% )with a 3/4 mi walk, for $8/32oz (until it's gone).

Stopped at Growlers To Go earlier today and saw they had some Triple Crossing on draft. This one is Paranoid Aledroid.

I've been blocking @PatrickCT this week in preparation for the game tonight. I'll unblock him once UVa seals a win against Syracuse. Here's hoping I can unblock him later tonight versus waiting until next game.
