Rainy 67 degrees walk with the dogs done. A Breakfast Stout for me, please:

Later today I get poked and prodded. Then maybe a beer run. Happy hump day!

23 degrees, supposed to hit the mid 30s today. Heat wave!
Enjoying a breakfast sandwich with my coffee.

Good morning BAs! Don't know how cold it is outside, but yesterday's melt is today's ice. New Breakfast Beer, courtesy of @Dragginballs76 and NBS BIF #6:

Every brew I've had from Firestone Walker has been above average - thanks, Michael, for another excellent beer!

Stickee monkee - funky junky. I know it's a stretch, but still:

This actually reminds me a lot of the Kernel Imperial Brown Stout when it comes to the flavor profile, but it's not quite as good. Still very nice though, another very solid, widely available and relatively cheap offering from Crew Republic.

After having spent a considerable amount of time preparing my shopping list while waiting for daylight to burn off the fog I find the overcast isn't letting much light in and I'm fog bound for an indeterminate time, so . . .

Light golden color with white cap.

Aroma of mild malt and floral, citrusy hops which together give off a slight honeyed sweetness.

Taste is malt driven on entry with hop sharpness blooming mid palate leading to a tingly hop bitterness in the aftertaste.

A likable, approachable personality without a lot of depth. This is a thrust quenching crowd pleaser that is recognizably above average without making any demands, a plain vanilla pilsner as it were. There's enough complexity to make it interesting but not enough to excite much comment.

Firestone Walker Luponic Distortion No. 008 5.9% abv. Clear lighter yellow. Soft and fruitier compared to the earlier ones. Less bitter. Taste like cantaloupe, Honey Dew, Pear, Grapes. Feels light and thin but has a good fruity flavor on the finish. Easy to drink, not as dank. I like this one but it kinda drinks like a white wine where the earlier versions were more like Sprite.

Cheers BAs! Had one of these late last night; inspired me today, perhaps.

L'enfer from Unibroue. It's a real winner (tho' IMHO it could use a sharper hop bite):
