Randomly encountered Interboro and Finback DIPA collab from 10/15/17...

The Jackie Rob, featuring citrus and mint, named after the Jackie Robinson Parkway, which runs through Brooklyn and Queens... 8.5% abv...

Good day to be born a musician - birthdays nods to Rod Stewart, Aynsley Dunbar, Donald Fagen, Pat Benatar, and Michael Schenker, as well as the departed Jim Croce...

Life cut far too short - one of the great singer-songwriters...

Also marks the two-year anniversary of the passing of David Bowie...

 

Still good.

 

I was a little disappointed in this stout. Next one will be an IPA. I have a few good ones in the hotel refrigerator.

Having some coffee and bourbon, waiting for it to warm so the chocolate comes out.

 

Happy Wednesday, BA's. I just arrived home and opened a can of Fluidity from Magnify, a DIPA hopped with Wai-iti, Topaz, and Motueka, released today. The hops dominate; it's a complex but hardly bitter blend, and the fruit is understated. Although I left work as early as I could, I missed both the cans and pours of the coconut stout. First world problems!

 

As far as mass produced beer is concerned, this is the best, in my humble opinion. Back when I was in college in PA (many moons ago), this is the beer we would buy if we could afford it. Top shelf?

 

Thanks to @BWood I have an overstock of Bruery Beers. Giving this one a go tonight, and its pretty darn tasty!!

Applying for jobs was not my favorite thing. Interviews even less so.

Awful day at work which began with a mandatory shift-lengthening being announced... then my partner (the only other person who is qualified to do my job) left early because reasons, so I couldn't leave in time to get to the Idle Hands release of their tropical sour and NEDIPA. I was so annoyed I went to the beer store after work to grab some stuff... think I'll put this day out of its misery the only way I know how...

Bull Falls' Oatmeal Stout......Good solid oatmeal stout, a bit sweeter.

 

Time has proven you cannot go wrong with this beer.

 

I agree, it was that or $5.50 for a single Lagunita's IPA....

 

Back home where the beer selection is better and they always (almost) cost less the $2 each......

Both from our trip to Asheville....

 

Possibly my last Brown Shugga of the season? Eh who am I kidding - I’ll probably pick up another sixer tomorrow. Cheers BA!
