Once they secure the necessary permits and approvals, install a new 10-barrel system, scale up their recipes, and build out a taproom, it shouldn’t be much of a leap to commercial brewing for Vitamin Sea.

    hahahahah

I was referring to the outrageous claim that the VSB namesake has been around longer than the beer community has been calling beers "juicy". That's just patently false

Obviously the name Vitamin Sea BREWING is new, but the term "vitamin sea" has been used by ocean lovers for a long, long time... But whatever, keep on looking for dumb reasons to hate on these guys.

I’d love to try some of their beers but also don’t know if it is worth the trouble. Will be interested when they can finally sell it!

Is it really that hard to understand he was saying his **brewery name** has been around longer than the "juicy" descriptor?

It's exactly what he's saying and it's laughable.

Also, I've lived on the ocean my entire life and never once heard somebody say "vitamin sea" - I don't even know what that would be referring to.

It's just a couple of guys trying to live out their dream. I don't understand why people have such a problem with something that literally has no affect on their life.

Yeah, I also chuckled at that line. I thought these guys were close to opening based on this thread.

Other people have seem to have done this process a lot quicker than these guys. I have nothing against these guys going after their dream, I wish I had the balls to do it, I'm just skeptical of the way they've used social media to build up the brand. It just reminds me of the beginnings of Pioneer in CT. There's an article on it somewhere that's a good read, I'll try and dig it up. (edit: here it is: http://www.ctmq.org/part-2-pioneer-trailblazer-neipa/) BTW, Pioneer has subsequently rebranded and changed their name to Connecticut Valley. I wonder if it was a way to shake of the negative karma of Pioneer.

But yeah, once Vitamin Sea does finally become a commercial brewery and I can actually buy their beer, I'll give them a shot. I happen to be in the Hull area quite a bit in the summer.

Why do that when you can post about it behind a screen name on the interwebs.

Appreciate you trying to put words in my mouth but you're wrong. I'm referring to my use of the term Vitamin Sea which dates back to the 1980s. Not sure what your agenda is nor do I really care - but don't speak for me.

I have a good friend going through the process right now. Until you get a space, you can't get any kind of license. Then federal, then buildout/state, then license to pour. Buildout is then finished up. My friend is going to pull it off in roughly six months.

Having a town that wants you there (as opposed to say, Boston, who doesn't give a shit) is the key to getting it done. That's probably the reason why Backlash still isn't open

Do you ever stop to think about how much of an asshole you sound like when you type these things? I know you like the cute badboy shtick you've created for yourself on here but this would be a better place without your constant negativity.

Cool. Good luck man. Looks like you got the customer interaction side of things down, maybe the selling beer part will come someday

Jesus man, act like an adult... You're being ass, slamming the brewery he's trying to start, and when he's matter of fact to you and tells you what he meant you get all bent out of shape? You certainly had a response like that coming. Grow up.

Cool. Not really concerned with how you take what I write. Next time Ill think really hard before commenting on the poor customer handling of a beer gifting Bissell nut swinging wannabe. Block me and this can be a safe place for your delicate self and a better spot for you.

Don't defend Dino. He can apparently speak for himself. He doesn't need you.
