As a sneaker collector who also enjoys great beer, online sales would ruin the beer hobby for me. While the online sales put an end to "camping out" for that years holiday Jordan release, it also ruined the "sneaker game" IMO. Developers saw dollar sings and are still cashing in on "sneaker bots". If companies like Nike and Adidas, fail to prevent the bots, I have little faith any of our local breweries could prevent them.

To reiterate the low-tech option: have someone at the brewery early. Hand out numbered tickets. Stagger arrivals: 1-50 come back at 9:00am, 50-100 at 9:30, etc. You'd still have a line from 2am to whatever time the AC guy arrived (say, 6am), but the next three hours would be clusterfuck-free, and parking wouldn't be such a headache.

I'm pretty shocked that Arawn hung around for a day. Wonder why they went 2pp instead of 4 if there was plenty to go around.

Arawn was great. Pretty hilarious that it takes an adjunct to sell a fantastic beer

Yeah, I opened one up for a share yesterday. It's really great. I do wonder if AC has hit market saturation point now like Cycle and releases will stop selling out in an hour...

Who am I kidding, BA Rocky Road is gonna sell out in 15 minutes.

When we were waiting in line for the second time I saw a lot of "mule" types walking by with just the Pop. Maybe they did not tell grandmule and gandpa to get both bottles.

There are a few companies that make exclusive use of brown paper tickets. I'm not sure how much anti-bot coding they have enabled on their system though.

Cycle sold out of pecan pie a la mode in less than an hour and a half. It seemed to be a really poorly kept secret from the go that they would have something else on top of DBVDBR that day. Other than that they seem to have enough volume where they don't sell out. The beer game moves fast these days and you only have so much time in the limelight before the secondary hunters move on to the new sweet hotness.

Let's not celebrate yet, I'm sure the flippers will be back for ba igccs and rocky road etc. Arawn is a solid offering, but given everything else that has been released over the past month, the beer drinkers around here probably aren't like looking at a low cellar of ba stouts.

Pecan pie sold out before the line went through at that dbvdbr release. I sat down for a beer after my purchase and guy was bummed it sold out before him.....i dunno what time this was but i showed up 10 til 8 and was just around first corner so must have been under 800 bottles

Silent release this afternoon - Krampus, a (non barrel-aged) imperial sweet stout. 3 per person, $20.

So Cycle selling BA Day tickets and AC selling IGCC at the same time on Monday.... whose line will be longer?

Everyone's gonna go to Cycle, then rush to hit the back of the AC line. I would not want to be trying to head north on the Howard Frankland bridge at about 8:30 Saturday morning.

I think it depends on whether or not they're secondary re-sellers and how many bros/mules they have. Cycle seems to be clamping down hard on mules for event tickets.

I agree, it also means the people trying to do both will be at cycle even earlier with the hope of getting out of there ASAP to make it to AC. And probably a lot of mules at AC.

Unfortunately with my luck I’m going to hit the area perfectly wrong. Be there a week after the IGCCS release for two weeks. Assume there will be another release either at AC or Cycle right after I leave. MBCP the participation trophy.

I dunno, you've got that good luck that prevents you from even contemplating standing in an over an hour line for a beverage. That's a win in my book.

Yeah seems cycle will be hit first... AC second.

Saw someone on IG ask AC if they planned this on purpose or coincidence

    They replied friendly head's up
