SMH. It’s clear that the shake bro’s have spoken, and wholemilk in these beers are winning over the masses. I’m saddened to see this. You can’t even call this stuff beer.

In the Tired Hands thread I saw them referred to as Lactose Lads

Someone crack a Mosaic Dream and let us know how it fares in relation to single mosaic.

Doesn't only one of the 4-5 beers today have lactose?

Just left and there’s plenty of non lactose beer. Limited myself to 2 4packs so I didn’t get the DDH gwtf since I already had the original although I’m now having buyers remorse. Actually heard one of the guys selling talking someone out of buying the bottled stout. Thought that was pretty funny.

Lactose ruining beer/OH is the fake news of this thread.

Maybe it had the lowest case count?

So I created All Daydream Everything (or Daydream Believer, haven't decided on the name of my creation) consisting of 4 oz of Mosaic, Space, and Citra Daydream, each. It is extremely intense. The flavor profile starts with a burst of Mosaic, followed briefly with Citra in the middle, and then cascades into Space.

Decided to start with Mosaic Dream and it’s an OK beer. A little underwhelming by OH standards IMO, but definitely goes down easy. Slight bitterness and a bit piney on the finish. I prefer the regular single Mosaic but this might just be a bit green right now. Really looking forward to trying Oh...Forever, if it’s anything like Raining Threes it should be dope.

I have similar thoughts about Mosaic Dream. It's not bad, but it's still a little oniony. Critiques aside, it's still very drinkable and will most certainly benefit with a little time.

Oh...Forever is good, but not quite Raining Threes. I don't know if that's just me going off of memory or moving on to bigger/better things, but it's a couple notches below its predecessor. Correct me if you think I'm wrong.

Interesting take, I’m usually super sensitive to the “oniony” hop flavor but didn’t get anything that I’d describe as that. Definitely green/piney/vegetal though. Like you said, definitely not a bad beer but might need a little time to mellow out. I’m excited for Oh...Forever but wouldn’t be surprised if Citra is the best from this release. People seem to love to hate on the lactose/oat beers but they are almost always great IMO.

My biggest critique about people that complain about the lactose/"cream" IPAs is that there's already such a wealth of great non-lactose IPAs out there.

We live in a state/region where we're paralyzed by choice. To complain that Other Half brews a couple of beers that aren't up your alley makes me search for a phrase that's more dismissive than "first world problems."

I think mosaic dream is great. Maybe a little "green" but a tremendous aroma and flavor for its abv

First time, long time. I enjoy reading these forums and had a question that i thought people might be able to help with!
I know there is some debate on the way to pour a can (just pour it, roll it then pour, pour most of it then swirl and pour the rest, etc.). In any event, have people noticed that the recent OH cans have had more sediment on the bottom than in the past (including beers canned within a couple of days or a couple of weeks)? Is this yeast, hop oils, hop powders, or something else? Also, is there a “proper” way to mix this stuff in? Seems like it makes the beer taste a little “greener” when you mix it in, if anything.
Looking forward to hearing other people’s thoughts. Thanks!

You're not alone. I've been noticing more and more beer boogers on month+ old OH cans than I have in the past. Fairly certain it's the yeast settling and clumping up at the bottom of the can. About to start treating my cans like wine and laying them on their side/rotating them daily.

I've noticed the sediment issue with a few recent ones as well, particularly the dual hop series ones- both the Simcoe + Waiti and Mosaic Motueka. Initially I thought it was since S+W was not super fresh but surpised when I noticed it on M+M. This was the first few times I've noticed this however from OH beers less than 2-3 weeks old.

Loved the Mosaic dream. Aroma and taste are superb for a 6%er. If memory serves me right, I thought the single hop Mosaic felt a wee bit thinner all around.

Oh..Forever is damn good too but not up to the level of Raining Threes. Similar taste but this is a little sweeter. Threes had more of that delicious galaxy bite than this one.
