I would hope they send it into full distro at this point. The days of folks driving 2+ hours for Citra, bombers or six packs, are pretty much over.

Also had Chhuuurrcchhhh last night and it was good not great.

Between LA traffic and waiting in line I think it's quicker for me to drive to bfe Kern River than it is to get Monkish cans :grimacing:

Once or twice a year road trip to Kernville and the southern Sierra’s is always nice. These days having KRBC there is a bonus. Whatever your choice, campground, motel or a day trip it’s nice to get away from the City of Angels. The brewery offers some world class beers for sure. Yes we can get any bottle or cans these days here in the city, but being there is special. And Citra these days is old news (kinda reminds me the death of Knuckle Sandwich). Maybe there will be a rebirth of Citra with cans in the city. After all, that’s where Citra was first discovered many moons ago.

It's hard to justify the drive when I can walk into any decent local liquor store nowadays and pick up fresh BW Citraholic cans.

I wouldn't walk across the street for what they now call Citra.

Really? The last batch I had wasn't as great as it used to be but it was still an above average DIPA. I'm not getting any cans but I'm still going up there because it's always a good time and they'll have plenty of other delicious things to drink.

Yeah, but the old Citra was so good! Worth the drive and a fun weekend as well.

How they turned it into this current version I’ll never know. But it’s an average beer at best. So disappointing.

I purchased a case of Citra online and I'm looking forward to trying it when I pick my case up.

Feb 2014 batch reminded me of HF Double Citra. That stuff was amazing. Last batch was nothing like it once was. Def not worth the drive from OC.

My favorite beer of theirs, Winter Ale was a big disappointment this past year. I don't know what's happening up there, but it's bad news whatever it is. I'm not the outdoors type so there isn't much else up in Kernville besides beer for me. Citra is what put this brewery on the map. But what they're putting in those "Citra" bottles and cans nowadays is not that beer any more, yet the Brewery continues to toot away.

Didn't find Winter Ale packaged this year bit did find it on draft. I wasn't disappointed, reminded me of it when I first had it as the 5th Anniversary release, nice dry citrusy IPA with plenty of bitterness. YMMV.

Yeah Winter DIPA was fantastic again this year. Had a few bottles of it myself and it's my favorite beer from them as well.
