I've read that the head brewer at Three Weavers has vehemently maintained a no hazy ipa stance. That being said, Monkish used to have a no ipa sign and look where we are now.

I bet Jen is brewing test batches as we speak, it’s almost a guarantee they tapped her for her Knowledge of the secret sauce. I mean she wasn’t exactly Brewing west coast IPAs with Henry.

Or maybe she left Monkish because she didn't want to brew haze? I have no knowledge either way, just saying.
She was helping brew some damn fine saisons/wild ales at Monkish. Maybe Three Weavers wanted to tap that knowledge?

You guys actin like this is some high stakes corporate espionage race for haze, but in reality it could just be that she wanted to step away from the vigorous demands of cranking out a hazy per week brew schedule.to fulfill the demands of cargo short wearing line waiters.

I hate that they backed themselves in the corner with these statements. Seems like they've been making the same double ipa for like 2-3 years now. This is my local brewery. They desperately could use a hazy juice bomb in their lineup. Hell even a tropical, or a rye, or black ipa would be nice for them, its doesn't even have to be hazy just give us local hop heads something different.

Brewed with pizza dough? Yep, they've literally jumped the shark now.

Pizza dough flour, which has a finer texture than all purpose flour. I'm not sure which commercial breweries use flour in the grist, but I have seen it in some recipes online.

That beer sounds real gross and stupid. People will buy anything.

Not so fast, Monkish posted 1-2PP to start, when they saw that the turnout was about 50% off normal they upped it to 3PP, the max line was about 165 people compared to the usual 250+ lot lizards. There are a couple factors at play here, one: the beer just does not sound great, two, it's inevitable with the amazing amount of great NE styles beers now easily available hassle free, I.E Modern Times, Brouwerji West, Revison etc.that people ARE going to seek an easier more user friendly buying experience, remember the majority of these people are trading and or selling these beers. I see the bubble bursting this year, and I am a big fan of Monkish and have bought more than I am comfortable acknowledging, but never by standing in line.

    Cheers,

Yes they will won't they ? and they will troll a parking lot for hours on end and then wait in line for said beer.

    Cheers,

165 people buying a pizza dough IPA called Hope Meatball is still about 165 too many people.

Can you guys explain to me why "pizza" flour is gross, but regular all-purpose flour is met with less disdain? It's usually just called "00" flour at the store, FYI.
