If I can find a single someplace I'll give it a go. I can't see buying a six-pack. I'll probably find one at Total Wine.

As the article states, it's produced in Wisconsin. Last time I looked it up, I believe it was from Monroe, WI which I assume would be Minhas Craft Brewing. That article reads like a nice advertisement for someone blatantly cashing in on a scene, because, why not, the big guys are doing it!

I've had it before, it's been out a year or two now.

It's fine, tastes just like Montucky Cold Snack.

Same here. This portion of the article was all I needed to see:

"It’s so aggressively inoffensive and light that it reminds you more of an elevated Bud Light"

Thanks, but I'll stick to Portland's finest (tap water) when it comes to this sort of beverage. Last time I checked, it's considerably cheaper than $7 a six pack, and I can drink it all day without getting a buzz or wasted.

If by "elevated Bud Light" they mean "manages to cram even more acetaldehyde into each can" than I guess I can agree with them.

Not brewed in the PNW, check
More than likely brewed by Mihnas, check
Not cheaper than Full Sail Session lager (and all the other variants) check
I'm not a ticker so I don't think I'll drink this except by accident

I'm with you. This sounds like a complete "fail" to me.

As a "PNW beer consumer," what possible reason would there be for buying this beer, other than price? Despite the name, it isn't brewed locally, and adjectives like inoffensive, easy drinking and crushable are the beer's more positive attributes. Given that "upside," why would I purchase this as opposed to a tall boy of PBR or Rainier?

Assuming, of course, that a cheap, inoffensive, crushable can of swill is what I'm looking for in a beer.

I happen to be OK with Montucky Cold Snack. It's cheap, it's at the 7-11 at the end of my street, and it does a good job keeping the fridge full during the summer.

And it has an awesome can design. Too bad it's not actually made in Montana.

Strange , Brewed by Minas probably ( as said above)..you can get $3.99 sixers brewed by that awful place in Trader Joe.
Full sail Session or more near the target Light Me Up by Hop Valley already are in the cheapo crap lager category up here

Funny that Montucky Cold Snacks have been mentioned. A beer trying to be slightly better than Bud Light, cashing in on a locale and contract brewed in Wisconsin because brewing in the geographically represented location was cost prohibitive!

Last summer Caldera's Lawnmower Lager seemed to be 6.99 a sixer everywhere, occasionally even 5.99. It's not the greatest beer but if it's still around at that price the mass produced adjunct lagers don't make much sense to me.

I saw that at Sheridan here in PDX recently. I passed on it.

I just bought a six-pack of tall boys. That article describes this beer perfectly. Just like all the big beer companies, this stuff tries hard to be devoid of character. It's cheap, it has a cardboard after taste and it's cheap. At least the can looks cool. I couldn't find the beer on BA in order to give it a low rating. Can anyone help me out?

They're probably about the same, why not? I still haven't seen it, but when I do, it'll become part of Tickathon 2018.

Hey guys, I've been off the site for a while but just wanted to say hi and hope I don't take too many tomatoes to the face!

I'm, Warren, one of the two owners of PNW.

Like many, my college recycle bin was filled with affordable macro lager. You could tell what was on sale by looking at the relative quantity of Oly, Rainier and Rainier Ale, Hamms, Red Dog, Busch, Natty, etc.

Something changed once I got a job and went on a pretty wild tick-ride and trade frenzy here, ratebeer and Talkbeer, pushing the limits of a responsible 'beer budget'. I've waited in line at 6am for Hair of the Dog AftW in 2011 and at recently Holy Mountain for Midnight Still variants. I still have ~100 bottles in random cardboard boxes in the basement. I'll snatch a bunch of 3-Way this week too. I also worked for Firestone Walker for a number of years and a niche Seattle craft distributor.

But, I really like easy drinking beers from the formative years. It's fun for camping, beach days, long/late hangouts with the boys. The guys at Boneyard and Holy Mountain crush just as much, if not more adjunct lagers as they do their own brews.

Anyway, we wanted to put out a beer that didn't have to be as serious as all of the craft beer out there. Like, drinking beer! It's not meant to push out the other options ran by dudes in suits; it's more of a light-hearted tribute.

This obviously isn't the forum for our beer but just know we're 2 beer guys with deep craft roots just trying to do something a little fun and different.

I live in south Seattle if you ever want to pop some older bottles!

edit: I saw that a certain beer website doesn't make it through the filter here. Pretty funny.

    Cheers!
